At check in, I was not asked if I needed assistance with my bag. I was given a room that was literally the farthest from the elevator and when I got to the room, the keys did not work. I went all the way back down and the front desk told me that I had the room Number incorrect (front desk did not write it on key holder for security reasons) yet I confirmed the room number verbally twice. I went all of the way back down to front desk—-from a third way of elevators and outside. And simply asked for a more convenient room with a key that works. I said I was “done”. Given that front desk didn’t offer assistance with bags and put me in a ridiculous room far away (nobody was in the hotel). A lovely front desk assistant (man with braces o his teeth) stepped in to help make it better. And gave me a room closer to elevator with keys that work. I don’t know if this is what happens to women travelling to Delray Beach alone or if it is just part of the practice at the hotel, but it was offensive and will never stay here again.

The hotel is still under renovations which was not disclosed when I made my reservation, nor was it reflected in the price for the night. The lobby area, a small bar, and the coffee counter were the only things available. Large areas under construction, no outdoor fire pits-very underwhelming to say the least.

Pleasant Surprise

The hotel is in the final stages of renovation. The common areas were beautifully appointed and decorated nicely for the holidays. I was originally put into a room without a couch, desk, etc. Requested a change due to needing to do some work. Was immediately accommodated. There is some noise still due to renovation. Shuttle to beach was great and the beach access was wonderful. Great location.

Beautiful hotel, walking distance to many shops, restaurants and more. The private beach club was really nice and the hotel shuttle was easy to hop on. The only ding was that the restaurant was under construction but we were able to access plenty of other dining options both in and outside the hotel.
