Palmerston is WAY overpriced due to the gas plant, especially given it's location near nothing substantial, but there was no faulting the accommodation and the staff. Beautifully clean and friendly professional people, worth it to not have to drive the 30-40 minutes back and forth from town every day after visiting family with 4 kids asking, "are we there yet?" :)

Nice hotel, would stay again. Check in and checkout fast and efficient. Good parking for those requiring pick up. Room was large and well appointed, fittings in wardrobe and tea making facilities a little bit dated. Bathroom clean however shower recess could do with a spruce up but acceptable. We stayed for a short time connecting at the interchange early the next morning. Staff were lovely and very quick to get us to our room. Staffed 24hrs.
