Rural serenity

As a well-appointed guest house on a farm, it was a welcome, quiet get-away with no traffic to speak of. It was within driving distance to many distilleries on the bourbon trail, so nicely located as well.

Bourbon Tour

Drive up to an amazing welcoming committee, consisted of a ton of cows waiting along the fence. Our golden went nuts but soon got used to them. Very quiet, a friend asked me if it smelled like farm….NOPE!!! It was such a great place. Had everything we needed. We would highly recommend to everyone. Cynthia went above and beyond with emails making sure we had a great stay.It was 30min to a hour to everything we were there for. We stopped Harrodsburg looking for a bar/restaurant our first night And came across the best pizza we have ever had. Also had dinner at the Beaumont Inn. Great hospitality and good food

Lodging that is an experience!

This is the cutest little place to stay! Didn’t realize how in the middle of the farm we would be, cows grazing just beyond the backyard and horses out the front door, all while being so quiet and peaceful! Definitely a great place for rest and relaxation, but also not too far away from everything. Cindy was great to communicate with, and check in was smooth. Thank you for everything, we will be back for our next visit!

Kentucky getaway

Cindy was a hospitable hostess. She texted the day before and made sure I had her phone number if there was a problem during our stay. The home was down a quiet lane and my children just loved the horses and the tree swing, to the point they didn’t want to leave. The house was roomy enough for 4 people.

Cottage on the Farm

Our stay was very peaceful and quiet. Just what we needed in our busy world. The house had the amenities we needed and we really enjoyed mornings on the porch and evenings around the fire. Beautiful setting.

Great location

We loved staying here. Cindy was great to communicate with. We did a lot of site seeing and this home was in a perfect location. It was nice to come back after a fun day and relax in the backyard and watch a beautiful sunset. The house was clean and well stocked.

Absolutely outstanding

This was my second stay here. It is such a wonderful place. Quiet, beautiful pastoral views, immaculate, extremely well-equipped and furnished, with delightful decor. The bed is soooo comfortable. (The horses are an extra plus.) Cindy is the best VRBO owner I have ever dealt with. I could not say anything at all negative about this place and I will be back next year! On a scale of 1 to 10, this is a 15!

quiet home in the country

I wanted to stay ~ near Lexington but not in Lexington. This was a nice country cottage, plenty of amenities and absolutely no traffic noise I enjoyed having the horses watching me come and go -- they appeared to be interested in my daily travels

Hidden Gem

We were visiting to get away from our busy lives and enjoy the quiet, simple life but we left with so much more than that. Cindy is an absolutely sweetheart! Her home is charming and exactly what we were looking for. We have two children and and they cried because they didn’t want to leave. If your looking for a charming, quiet, memorable family vacation, filled with s’mores, swings, sunsets, lightning bugs and farm life, look no further! Highly recommend!

Perfect Countryside Getaway

This property was perfect for what we wanted and needed. It has a fully fenced yard for our pups and was nestled on a quiet farm, away from neighbors. Coming from the hustle and bustle of the city, the tranquility we sought was in full effect. The property is ideal for anyone wanting peace and quiet, as it's fairly remote. The property was clean and everything was in working order. If we're back in that area, we will definitely book again. We enjoyed ourselves and particularly the swing in the backyard which is perfect for the sunsets. Cindy was an amazing host and openly communicated with us prior to our arrival. It's that extra little "something" that assured us that we made the right decision to book here.

Beautiful spot

Beautiful rural property, very peaceful and quiet. The horses in the paddock close to the house were a delightful bonus. The house was roomy and comfortable, well provisioned and clean. The only minor inconvenience was the portable air conditioner that was quite noisy (as they tend to be) and didn't reach the bedroom adequately (which is why I always travel with a fan). It did not diminish our enjoyment in any way, but I did want to mention it in case you sleep hot or are noise sensitive. Highly recommend this lovely location and wonderful house. Owner Cindy was a pleasure to meet and great at communicating.

Great location! Lovely house.

My family truly enjoyed this charming country house! It was ideally located for our activities in the area around Lexington and not to far for some activities in Louisville also. The hosts were very friendly and helpful providing information about our stay and things to do around the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Place!

We were very happy with our stay. We were looking for a quiet place to rest and relax and it was perfect. The house/property was exactly as described. We didn't "do" a lot during our 3-day stay but that was on purpose. We did run to Danville once for pizza and a great coffee from Dry Stack. We will come back another time!
