Historic cottage, former Walhalla train depot. Very clean and recently renovated. In a shady setting within 2 miles of the Pere Marquette River (Branch, Walhalla, IndianBridge and Custer bridge access), 1000s of acres of National Forest, and 12 miles from Lake Michigan/Ludington. Plenty of space to park your boat, hang a hammock, yard space for kids to play.

This 2 bedrooms and 1 bath single family lodging located on 10 acres. It has a great circle driveway perfect for your truck, boat, or trailer. A nice patio sits off the kitchen. A peaceful location where you can sit & drink your morning coffee ☕️ .
It includes 2 bedrooms. (Queen bed in bedroom in one and full bed in the other bedroom) The living room has a sleeper sofa.
Inside you will find a nice living room, reading nook & kitchen. A smart TV in the living room will allow you to use your phone as a mobile hotspot to access YouTube, Hulu, or login to your Netflix etc. NO Internet. Plenty of table space with both a kitchen table and another table in an additional room. Feel free to use the cooking utensils & other cooking supplies to cook your catch.
Did you forget something? Dollar General is just a mile from your door. Need gas or quick supplies Pioneer Party and Gas station is just a mile away. Thirsty or hungry ? The Rendezvous Grille and Tavern is just a mile away & Cardinal Restaurant & Branch Grocery's Pizza is just down the road.
Depot Cottage is on US10, which is the main highway in the area. Ludington is located approx. 12 miles west & Baldwin about 15 miles east. This home is just minutes from many great fishing lakes & rivers. The Pere Marquette public river access for Fishing, Kayaking & Canoeing is just down the road. Many wonderful golf courses in the area.

Great stay with everything we needed for our fishing trip. Close to the river and room to park a drift boat. Also a great little mud room for taking on and off waders and letting them dry out.

Lovely lil place and the best kitty Rocky
Had a great experience during our stay. We were greeted by rocky the properties kitty. Such a friendly little one every day waiting for you on return and at the door waiting in the morning being a cat lover this was amazing. Cabin was clean and recently has had new siding added making it look much nicer then the previous siding the property owners are improving the property and it is going in a great direction great job guys ill have to come meet the owners after we relocate to our land in the area. Overall a great place to stay for anything and nice warm showers after a hard days work logging our land. Thankyou so much keep it up guys

Perfect quiet hideaway
Property was just like advertised. Clean, well stocked, easy to find and quiet even though it was on main road. Rocky the cat made us feel right at home when we walked outside. Will definitely stay here again next time we travel up

Awesome stay!
We enjoyed our stay at Depot Cottage! Enjoyed the friendly cat Rocky who greeted us during our stay. We will be back when the weather warms up so we can explore the national forest nearby! Overall a great experience. Very clean, comforting home with everything you could need! The host was very quick in responding and gave us a welcoming feeling into their home. Defiantly recommend if your looking for a quiet off the grid type of get away!

Peaceful Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at the Depot Cottage. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed getting away from it all and taking hikes on the property in the beautiful fall setting. We enjoyed the selection of DVDs in the evening. We had a great dinner at the nearby Brenda's Burgers and loved being close to Ludington.

The cabin was nicer than expected. We were greeted by a friendly cat and the owners commutation was promt and professional as well as friendly. We hope to visit again. Had trouble communicating through vrbo but that was no fault of the owners. Overall, 10/10. Thank you for having us.

Quiet and clean
Nice small little cottage for a short fishing stay with our pups. The house was clean and well stocked. The location is minutes from PM river for fishing and about 15 minutes to Ludington, which was just far enough away and just close enough. There is a house and a second cottage close to this cottage on the property, but we only saw another human once. There is not any internet service, but the owners have a nice stock of DVDs.

Perfect Little Spor
This location provided everything we needed for our fishing trip. Close to the river, and close to Ludington. No WiFi as indicated, but great cell service so that was no problem. Definitely will return next year!

This property worked well for our needs. It was farther from Ludington than I thought, but that was my mistake. It was quiet. We enjoyed the gas fire pit.
