Our stay was comfortable and good value. We slept very warmly, with blankets and doonas provided. Beds are comfy and room was a good size for a reasonable price. Breakfast was terrific and staff were really helpful and super courteous. Staircases around the property are wooden, so there does tend to be some early morning stomping around. Biggest let down though is the bathroom, which has obviously been treated for black mould in the past and the damp is taking hold again in our room, with paint peeling and patches of black that made us not really want to extend our stay. We were offered another room, but it was next to the breakfast room that runs 6:30-9:30am, so we declined. It’s a shame. Otherwise it’s a great little hotel that’s a bit quieter than most!

Overall, good stay. Staffs are nice

Good location for tourists because it's closed to the center of tourist area. However, the street outside is too narrow, the bar is noisy at night outside the hotel. Once you are in the room, no problem. The front desk staffs are nice and helpful.

Stuffy with no air circulation

There is no air circulation in the room. Very dark and stuffy. Nothing special about breakfast. But staff are very nice.

This is a wonderful hotel right in the middle of town! No need for a car; bring good walking shoes and enjoy exploring on foot. The main square, parks, a large market, food, and drinks all only a block or two away. Wonderfully friendly staff! Hot coca tea always available in the lobby and good free breakfast! Clean rooms and lobby. Always felt safe at night walking back to the hotel from main square alone as it is a somewhat lively street, not dark and scary. However, noise was never an issue! Slept well each night.

Disapointing hotel in Cusco

Bad choice for stay in Cusco. Beside a club (and the clubs close at 7am in Cusco). We lost water in our room each night we stayed there (3 nights). Our room was lighted all night long by the lignting of the hotel.

Good location to Plaza de Armas. Internet issues

Jean Pierre and the, Claudia, and the administrators were very nice. The young lady that was there was very rude. My son was there and asked her to call the room and she told him "no, just come to the hotel. The internet is terrible and the small lobby was always packed with people trying to connect. It was long freezing cold walk from my room to the lobby to try to have internet and this was very inconvenient. I could not even use my phone.

Good hotel in great location

The hotel is clean and in a good location. Around the block is the Plaza de Armas. The hotel does not have heat but I've found that to be the case everywhere we've stayed over this 3 week trip in Peru. The hotel does have good hot water in the shower which we did not find at every hotel in Peru.

Not a good choice

We had a 2 night booking and left after the first night the room that we were given stunk seems that they was a sewage problem they showed us another room that was worst than the first one we were them given a third room which smelled much better, the rooms and place is dirty. The staff spoke some English and was very apologetic and helpful. The location is great and there is a nice little Bar/club upstairs, but I will not recommend the hotel

Nice hotel at the edge of Plaza de Armas

A well-appointed hotel in old Cusco within spitting distance of the historic Plaza de Armas. It is surrounded by cobblestone lanes lined with excellent eateries, souvenir shops and other amenities. Apart from being at a convenient location, it has a pleasant ambience too.

Royal Quosqo Dec 2014 stay

The hotel is in a good location, right near the main plaza. The hotel people were helpful (they provided a scale to measure our hiking bag & recommended restaurants), and there was always somebody at the front desk, even when had to check out and leave for our hike at 3am. Our room, 127, was situated near the lobby where a lot of peole would pass by, and during the night we got awoken by noises. The room was clean, and the shower had hot water. Besides the noises, we had a great stay!

Bargain, convenient, loud, disconnected.

This is a good hotel for the price. There are a few quick routes from here to the Plaza de las Armas and they are all a delight to walk. There is also a stone stair to a point that overlooks the plaza. Cusco is not a quiet place but this hotel lets all the sound in as though the walls were made of paper. This goes for the chatter of staff at all hours of the day and even into the night. The wireless situation will make you pull your hair out. If you have problems with connectivity ask someone at the desk to reset the router. As a last resort, get connected at a restaurant or cafe nearby. The staff is friendly and helpful and I would definitely consider a future stay.

Overall the place was great for the price! Positives: free wifi, decent breakfast (bread, jam, cheese, ham, coffee, tea), awesome hot water from the shower (good for cold Cusco nights), a 5 minute walk from the town square, 30 min walk to Sacsayhuaman, you can also rent a heater and hair dryer if needed. Downsides: cold room, slower service, lacks a little character/personality

Friendly staff but very bad room condition

I stay there for one night with 4 family last Dec. The staffs are friendly but the room condition is very poor. There is soap only. no shamppp, no stand light, no cloth hanger etc. very small shower space, lack of hot water, light has no cover... I don't recommend to stay this hotel for family.

Grimy

Booked with Hotels.com and the hotel did not have the reservation for our triple in their book. They ended up showing us 2 quad rooms... One which wasn't even cleaned after a check out and the second with a horrible stench in the bathroom. We tried reasoning with the girl at the counter but she couldn't make any decisions and constantly had to make callls to her mgr to ask. In the end, we ended up getting a single and a double room. At least they were cleaner but the bathrooms smelled like sewage! And They almost dared charging a 10 soles for a hairdryer use! Would not recommend and would never stay here again!!

Muy bien ubicado y con fácil acceso a la plaza , el punto negativo que pensamos es que no tiene enchufe en las áreas comunes, está ubicado en las zonas de las discotecas por lo general , muy buen servicio
