About the home
“Churchill House” is a delightful single-storey family home in Cowes just a short drive or comfortable walk from the beach and supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of central Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
The front living room (with smart TV & Chromecast) is a great separate space and provides access to the main bedroom with WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet) and then through to the heart of the home - the large open plan kitchen / dining / living room (with smart TV & coonara wood heater). To the side of the living room is the huge semi-covered side deck. Off a side hallway from the living room are bedrooms 2 & 3 (each with BIR), the main bathroom (with shower & bath), a separate toilet and the laundry. At the rear of the home is the enormous 4th bedroom which also has direct access to the rear yard.
Outdoor Areas
The deck to the side of the home has table and seating for 8 people with a BBQ, plus lounge chairs for 8 people too. There is space for up to three vehicles on the driveway on the property (or a modest sized boat) plus free parking on the street. The enclosed rear yard is perfect for children or pets alike (pets allowed inside but please not on furniture or in bedrooms).
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and induction cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is one wall mounted split-system reverse cycle air-conditioning unit and a Coonara wood heater in the main living area, as well as mobile heaters in all four bedrooms. There are ceiling fans in all four bedrooms plus one in each of the two living areas.
Bedding Configuration
This home has 10 beds, plus 1 sofa bed, accommodating up to 14 guests:
Bedroom 1: One Queen bed Bedroom 2: One Queen bed Bedroom 3: Two Single beds Bedroom 4: One set of Single bunks and two Tri-bunks
There is also a Double sofa bed in the main living room.
Please note: The Tri-bunks have a double bed base with a single bed above it.
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

We had a lovely stay. Our family all fit and having 2 living areas was perfect for us to spread out. Contact with both the agent and the hosts was easy and positive. House is walking distance to Red Rocks beach, and only a few minutes drive to Cowes main st shops.
