This is a beautiful home in a perfect location. The house has so many beautiful outdoor decks including a stunning rooftop with clear ocean views as well as a large pool, hot tub, tiki bar and volleyball area. It never felt crowded with our group of 14 as there were so many spaces to hang out and relax. Large kitchen and dining area. Bike and walking paths right outside the door and lots of great amenities. I highly recommend!

Annual family beach week

Lovely house with easy beach access; has its own pool, outside shower and bathroom. It has a well supplied kitchen for those who like to cook and a very large table for those who like to eat. It was a great place for our annual family beach week.

Perfect vacation

This home is beautiful and perfect for our family. We plan on coming back next year. The location to the beach and the view were great. The rental company was great to work with. Miss being there already!

Had a great time

The house was very well equipped, lots of seating and space for people to spread out. The location is amazing great views of the sun rise and sun set. Just a short walk to the beach. The beach was great, we even saw dolphins off shore. I would definitely recommend this property.

Sweet Reality

The house had everything we could have asked for and more. Beach access was literally feet from the front door. If you like Corolla this is the place to stay.

Loved the location and layout of this house! perfect for our three families... and the decks were amazing! also agree the house has everything you need from wine and martini glasses, seafood utensils to beach chairs and toys! Truly enjoyed our stay here and plan on coming back!

Great vacation

The house is wonderful. It is well-equipped and the location is perfect. It is right across the street from the public access to the beach and the pool gets the afternoon sun. It’s also within walking distance to the grocery store and shop. We had 17 people, from age 1 month to 64 yrs, and we ALL had a great time!!!

Great location

This home is exactly as advertised. It's very clean and well appointed. The kitchen was very organized for a rental home. Every possible cooking utensil is provided. The location is wonderful, only a few steps to the beach access. The home owners obviously care about their home and providing a wonderful experience for their renters.

OBX/family vacation/wedding

We have been doing family vacations for 15+ years at Whalehead beach. This year everyone loved the house!!! The upstairs room was open and plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The large kitchen table was great for eating dinners together, and the pool area was the best of any of the other houses we stayed at in Whalehead. Beach access was suburb. We would love to stay here again.

House exceeded expectations!

The pictures of the house didn’t do its size justice - it felt incredibly spacious and easily accommodated our group of 12. Even the second Single in one of the Queen rooms was large enough to sleep in! Overall a great experience and would recommend to anyone.

Fall OBX

We asked for early check in and arrived to find house wasn’t clean. Cleaners arrived just after check in time and did very quick and though job! Great house with amazing views of both beach and ocean. We loved this house and will be back!

Beautiful a d perfectly situated

This house is so lovely. It was updated and had nice finishes everywhere. You can hear and see the ocean at this home. The widows peak is updated, secure and huge. The beach access is directly across the street. The pool is saltwater instead of chlorine which was awesome! A quick bike ride to shops

Excellent home for our large family!

This home was great for us! There is ample seating in the main living/dining as well as high quality outdoor seating on all decks. The extra living spaces on the other floors made it possible to spread out for games etc. The pool area is a great size with plenty of lounge chairs and the outdoor bar is a nice feature. Being directly across from the beach access was so convenient for hauling our gear and going back and forth as needed . There were several beach chairs and toys at the house which saved some of us from packing our own. I would definitely recommend this vacation home!

Best Semi Ocean seven bedroom vacation home

Beach access is directly across the street. Good size pool with outside bathroom. Pool toys and other play toys in shed as well as a wagon and beach chairs on site. The kitchen is very big and well stocked with kitchen gadgets. Plenty of games and movies to watch. All room are big and beds were comfortable. All shopping stores are only six blocks away. The house air condition worked great even on a 94 degree days. Great views from the upper deck. So many area to sit and hang out. Best and biggest dining table where ever on can sit at the same time. We plan on renting this house again next year.

Our 2nd stay at this House

We like vacationing in Corolla in the Fall and this is our second stay at this particular house. My son is a surfer and likes being able to check the waves from the top deck. The rest of us like the ease of walking across the street to get to the beach and the views in the morning and evening are beautiful. The decks around the house are fun for morning coffee and evening snacks and cocktails. The house was clean and well organized for our use. We were all adults and liked being able to find areas of quiet when needed for working remote or just reading.You get a workout with all the stairs but we were fine with it. The kitchen has an induction stove top and we loved it. We enjoy cooking together and the kitchen seemed well organized with everything we needed to prepare meals. The grill had propane so it was ready for our use too. We didn't use the pool this time but loved reading in the pool area.

Perfect Beach Vacation

We had a lovely time at the house. The pool is great and the beach is across the street and so nice! There are plenty of restaurants and the food lion is open 24-hours for food shopping. Super Wings is in the same parking lot as Food Lion and covers all of your souvenir needs. The house had plenty of pool toys and beach chairs. The kitchen was well stocked with all your cooking needs and the grill worked well too. Some cons: The house was not properly cleaned when we arrived. Sand was everywhere and the floors were so dirty our feet and socks were black. We also weren’t given enough towels at first. But management came back the next day with a cleaning crew and they cleaned everything. We were told that turnover day is Saturday and they were short-staffed so it took extra long for the cleaning to happen. We arrived for check-in on time but the house wasn’t “cleaned” until almost an hour and a half later. The gardener came on Friday morning and made the pool dirty with grass shavings so we couldn’t use the pool for a few hours until the filter cleaned it all out. They should come on another day in our opinion. We had some WiFi connection issues and the AC on one of the floors was broken one day but management came quickly to repair both which was good. The house accommodated our family of 13 so nicely and we made wonderful memories and despite some of the annoyances, we chose to rebook for next summer. We had such awesome views of the sunset from the top roof deck. Keeping the cons in mind, you can work around them and have a great time at the house.

Communication confusion, but overall a great house

This house is listed on several sites; we found it via VRBO. But all communications will come from Vacasa. This caused some confusion on our part due to minor inconsistencies in the descriptions on the two sites and responses to direct inquiries we made to the property manager. One site says no beach chairs or other amenities, so we packed chairs, only to find the house has several! Same with comforters/quilts - we were told that due to COVID, only sheets and a blanket per bed were available. So we packed bedding, only to discover ample bedding, including comforters and extra blankets. In addition, we made sure to inquire about the hot tub availability, and were told that it was available during our April stay. When we arrived, the hot tub was dirty and empty. The pool, which we knew was not available for heating, was a swamp. We called Vacasa and the representative was very pleasant and had the management company call me. The management company woman was rude. The owner of the house called me, and he was very apologetic and arranged for the pool/hot tub company to come out the next business day. He explained that there was a miscommunication with the management company. So, the biggest complaint we have is that there seems to be an exceptional number of cooks in the kitchen with respect to this property (and probably many similar properties in OBX). We have never experienced such confusion and miscommunication in renting a vacation property. That said, the minor inconveniences were not really a big deal (mostly annoying to deal with after a 10-hour drive) and were ultimately resolved to our satisfaction. The house is very spacious, well- maintained and the kitchen is very well-stocked. The beds are comfortable and the linens are of decent quality. There is ample comfortable seating in the house and on the many decks. The dining table is gigantic and seats at least 14. The appliances are relatively new and work well. We especially appreciated the ice machine in the lower kitchenette. The location of the house is great. A mile from two shopping plazas, including one with a grocery store. The public beach access is literally across from the front yard. The neighborhood is lovely and all the houses around are well-kept and it was very quiet at night. The police keep a regular patrol so we felt comfortable letting the teens walk/bike around alone. We would consider this house again if we return to Corolla.

Gorgeous, well equipped, private bathroom in every bedroom.

The weather for ourweek in May 2022 was really ugly ;but the house solved all our problems. 4000+feet. With several sitting areas, play room. We ate out and in. The kids were taken to a local sports complex, where there was swimming, another place offered trampolines. Dinners out were very good. Above anything was the layout, it was perfect and a private bathroom in every bedroom!
