This property was very nice and spacious for a large family. The appliances are of good quality and all work well.Beautiful view of the beach and direct access to it.The only minor whinge I had was that it did not have a hair dryer but besides that highly recommended.

Friends Getaway

Beautiful house, perfect location - we are a group of women in our early 60’s who stayed 3 nights at this wonderful house.The only negative we gave is that the BBQ was filthy - rodent poo and dirt on the hot plate. Downstairs toilet had not been flushed properly and smudge marks in the bowl.

Anzac Long Weekend

Clean, comfortable and convenient. The property was perfect in all areas and made our stay in Port Stephens very enjoyable. The location, near the Anchorage resort and marina, was excellent as was the access to the beach and wonderful gardens on the waterfront.

Excellent house layout for a big family gathering.

We had a great time with all being close family. All at the house found it excellent. Our only negative was none of our companion dogs were allowed anywhere on the land or garden so had to sadly be left at others for care. One that is too close to my grandaughter to be separated ,forced me to rent another property for them and she could not even visit us. Thus we will not stay here again.

Sisters Summer holiday

Five of us sisters, and our husbands spent a glorious seven days at this little bit of paradise. The house was perfect for us. The bedrooms were all spacious and the linens were lovely. Checking in was very easy and we settled in on the first day with a visit to the beach just a short distance in front of the house. We spent every day on that private little beach and the dolphins swam by every afternoon to fill us with delight. The views are fabulous the shopping Centre is close by and it’s a very short drive to Nelson Bay for some retail therapy . We all agreed. This was the most beautiful holiday we have had for a long time. Thank you stays we will definitely be rebooking.

Perfect Location, average house, disrespectful owner

The location of this house was just perfect, with a large lawn and garden between the house and the beach. It was the perfect spot for the kids to play and adults to relax. The house was well appointed with plenty of cooking utensils / crockery and the two kitchens were really handy. The rest of the house was fine, it was comfortable but needs some updates. The bathrooms are very tired. There were broken lamps in the bedrooms and a lack of powerpoints. There was not enough toilet paper / washing machine tablets provided to get through a 5 day stay (this is not a cheap house, this should have been included). The house is not safe for toddlers, there is no way to close off the internal stairs, and also a set of stairs heading down from the balcony. The roller blind pulls were not secured to the wall and were loose, which is a hazard for little kids. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however I would stay in a different house in the same location next time. The real trouble started after we had left. While vacuuming the house before leaving, the vacuum broke. We alerted the property manager after checking out. Our significant security deposit was held while they liaised with the owner about the vacuum. Eventually the majority of our deposit was refunded, but they hung on to some until the owner had determined whether the vacuum would be repaired under warranty. The implication of this was that we had somehow misused the vacuum while cleaning the house. Four weeks later the owner finally refunded the remainder of our deposit, as they were able to have the vacuum repaired at no cost. This is not an acceptable way to treat guests, it's been a waste of our time and a stress we did not need returning from holidays. As a result we cannot recommend this house as a place to enjoy a relaxing holiday.

Dream location for family gathering

A wonderfully appointed house for our family gathering to celebrate Grandma's 80th - a perfect location on the reserve and directly opposite the beach. We could not have asked for a better house to cater for all the ages!

Great for a Family Getaway

This property is outstanding. We had an intergenerational family holiday - kids, parents and grandparents and it suited all our needs perfectly. The two levels allowed the families with kids to occupy the downstairs while the other adults had separate bedrooms upstairs. The house is stylish and well furnished and was beautifully presented when we arrived. All beds were very comfortable, both kitchens were well equiped and having a large table and sufficient chairs upstairs meant we could all eat together. The added bonus of the decks with wonderful views over Port Stephens with regular passing dolphins and the safe, clean beach right at our doorstep was terrific. A memorable holiday was had by all and we will hopefully be back in the not too distant future.
