The Cottage is a detached accommodation perfect for two adults, featuring its own private parking and entrance. Enjoy a cosy seating area with beautiful views on sunny days. One dog is welcome for an additional one-off cleaning fee of £20, payable on departure.

If you’re looking for a peaceful retreat that’s still close to pubs, restaurants, and cultural attractions, this is the place for you. Leisure facilities, including a sauna, jacuzzi, pool, and gym, are a 10-minute walk or a 2-minute drive away. We offer WiFi, so you can enjoy your favourite streaming services like Netflix and YouTube.
We also have Quarry Barn, which is detached and has its own parking area. Both Quarry Barn and Quarry Cottage are located just inside Northumberland, making them ideal bases for exploring the area.
Getting Around
There is no nearby bus service, so it’s best to arrive by car. However, you can start walking and cycling right from your doorstep, with additional routes nearby. Key destinations include:
Durham: 20 minutes
Newcastle: 35 minutes
Hexham: 20 minutes
Corbridge: 15 minutes
Taxis are available in the area if you need to leave your car behind.
Please note: The stairs are steep but manageable. The cottage is not suitable for infants; only two adults are allowed.
Guest access
Guests have a private parking space right beside the cottage. Entrance is via an outside key box. Self-check in is available.

One dog is welcome for an additional one-off cleaning fee of £20, payable on departure. Please note that dogs are not allowed in the bedroom and should not be left unattended in the cottage.
