Welcome to the Luxe Lodge at Gold Mountain! Plan an unforgettable stay at this luxury 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom custom home situated on over 1.5 private acres. Enjoy stunning views of the 16th hole of the Dragon, Nakoma’s 18 hole championship golf course. Enter the gates of the resort community and marvel at the idyllic blend of quiet serenity and modern upscale amenities!

A private driveway leads you up to the custom estate, surrounded by forest and the wonders of nature. This home is perfect for family gatherings or couples getaways, with a large greatroom, and many private areas to retreat to throughout.

The spectacular grand entrance of the home welcomes you into an oversized living area, filled with natural light, extraordinary high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and 20 foot river rock fireplace. A fully stocked chef’s kitchen has ample room for everyone to gather round for delicious meals and quality time. There are 4 comfy barstools, 2 bonus seats at the island, and an additional breakfast nook with seating for 4 that looks out over the forest.

The greatroom has a door leading out to a serene courtyard with cozy seating to enjoy a quiet morning coffee or relaxing evening views. The opposite door near the master leads out to the expansive wrap around deck, overlooking the impressive golf course green and endless forest landscape! Enjoy a family barbecue or a picnic and take it all in… It doesn’t get much better than this! The family room also includes a formal dining area with seating for 6. Enjoy coffee and cocktail stations, and plenty of added space on the leather recliners for fun games and group gatherings.

The grand master suite has a NEW plush king bed and all new furnishings (new pics coming soon!). The master also features breathtaking forest views all around, and a palatial walk in closet for all your luggage. Pull down shades allow the option to watch the sun rise, or sleep in late and hide away so you can enjoy your stay in total seclusion. An oversized jetted tub for two and steam shower complete the space offering total relaxation and privacy from the rest of the home.

The second bedroom is peaceful and serene with a NEW plush queen size bed and lovely views of the golf course green. A full bathroom (shared with the 3rd bedroom) is located just across the living room and is stocked with all the necessities such as soft towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner.

The third bedroom has twin bunk beds and a pullout trundle for a total of 3 beds. It also has a bonus desk and workspace for those who have remote business or schoolwork. Fast & free Wi-Fi helps you stay in touch during your mountain getaway.

The fourth bedroom is a PRIVATE attached studio with additional separate entry and deck access, flat screen tv, kitchenette, fridge, en-suite bathroom with walk in shower, and comfortable king bed.

There is also a bonus loft area with TV, games, plus Full size futon, and space for a queen air mattress, twin air mattress, or both. We now also have ping pong and foosball tables in the 3rd garage for your entertainment and sleds to enjoy the fresh snow in winter months.

2 parking spots are available in the spacious garage and there is additional parking in the driveway. Complementary seasonal snow plowing is also included in your stay!

There are many fun and exciting activities available when you book the Luxe Lodge! Our guests get the option of an upgrade for exclusive access to the members only Altitude recreation center. The facility provides 12,000 sq. feet of world class amenities! With an on site restaurant and bar, your favorite sports on TV, an Olympic size swimming pool (heated year round!), steaming jacuzzi surrounded by gorgeous, towering pines, an indoor rock climbing wall, indoor basketball, fitness center with private loft for yoga, children’s play room with toys, books, and games, teen room with billiards, foosball, smart TVs, computers, and Altitude bar & bistro - PLUS a private movie theater with popcorn, candy, soda, and cocktails available for purchase, your trip will be absolutely unforgettable. Just 15 minutes away is Downtown Graeagle with fun family friendly holiday activities year round! Enjoy amazing community organized trick or treating, 4th of July celebration, farmers markets, craft fairs, and more! There is a gas station and convenience store, along with adorable cafes and restaurants and Mill Pond for recreational walking, fishing, kayaking, and swimming.

There is a Leonard’s grocery store, Quincy Co-op Natural Foods market, various restaurants, 2 gas stations, and a dollar store in the quaint town of Portola, just 10 minutes to the east. A full list of restaurants for eat in and pick up is included in our welcome book.

A gorgeous 1 hour drive through the forest from Reno/Tahoe airport and just 55 mintues from Truckee/Tahoe, the Luxe Lodge is the perfect getaway. Close to Portola, Graeagle, Nakoma, and many gorgeous wedding venues. Avoid the hustle and bustle of busy mountain towns and appreciate the hidden gem of the Sierras. We are also located just minutes from four other public golf courses!

There are countless activities available in all seasons from fishing and kayaking to snowshoeing and ATV… stay on site and enjoy the resort amenities like fat tire mountain bike rentals and snow tubing (certain weather conditions apply), or get out and have an adventure! Nakoma also boasts numerous hiking and biking trails, quick access to Gold Lake, Long Lake, Lake Davis, Sardine Lake, Salmon Lake, the Middle Fork Feather River, and some of the best fishing in all of California!

During your stay you can also book a round of golf on the Dragon golf course or reserve a personalized treatment at the Spa at Nakoma. Our concierge can help you plan an unforgettable vacation where anything is possible.

* Optional access to Altitude recreation center must be requested in advance and resort fee paid before checkin. Reservations must be made ahead through the property management. The resort fee is $20/person per day and must be booked for consecutive days.

We now offer self check in for those who prefer a no contact stay. Our on-site management is fully available by phone or text for any questions and concerns you may have during your vacation. We want to make your trip a fantastic and memorable one! Need help figuring out what to do for fun, where to shop, or the best place to dine? Just ask the property manager! You can count on fast responses and excellent service when you stay with us.

Gold Mountain at Nakoma is the lost Sierras most coveted golf resort community.

With fresh air, wide open spaces, breathtaking forest views, abundant wildlife, 18 hole championship golf course, five-star dining, unbeatable resort amenities, and none of the crowds of similar mountain resort communities, it’s the hidden gem of the high sierras!

The community is gated and plowed in the winter, and we have complementary plow service at the home whenever it snows.

While this area has some exceptional mountain biking and hiking, you’ll need a car to get around.

At the Luxe Lodge, we allow one dog per booking at no extra charge. Any additional pets must be approved by the property manager.
No smoking anywhere on premises. No events, parties, or unapproved guests. Quiet hours, 8 PM to 8 AM, dark sky community after 10 PM for stargazing.
