THE HOME: Blue Heaven is a classic Caribbean Cottage featuring three bedrooms, two bathrooms+, a large great room including a full kitchen on the main floor; on the lower level there is a laundry room with free washer and dryer, and a third bathroom. (See our floorplan in the photo section).

THE POOL: You'll love the huge 14' X 40' private, heated swimming pool, with a view of the ocean. It doesn't get any better than this!

FAMILY FRIENDLINESS: Blue Heaven is made for families. We provide a crib and a highchair. Plus, with pool toys, movies, and games, your kids will be entertained rain or shine. We provide bikes and two scooters so your family can have some family fun biking around Judith's Fancy.

OUTDOOR KITCHEN: With a poolside kitchen/bar area with Weber gas grill and multiple seating areas, you'll have endless family fun playing Giant Yahtzee, corn hole, or Enormous Jenga. Have drinks while the kids splash in the pool.

LOCATION ON THE ISLAND: On the north shore, mid-island in Estate Judith's Fancy, our home is minutes from Christiansted where you can visit shops and great restaurants. It is close to grocery stores and all necessities, but sits in a safe, gated community where you can walk to the shore and do some fantastic beach combing.

COST: November 22 thru December 6 $299 per night! A private, 3-bedroom home with private pool for the cost of a hotel room! We offer a 10% discount for 10 nights or more. Inquire with host.

DIVING: Are you a scuba diver? "The Wall" - a 3,000-foot drop-off offshore at Cane Bay is a premier dive site known around the world. In fact, you can do almost any kind of diving on St. Croix - night diving, deep diving, pier diving, wreck diving, drift diving, and, of course, open water diving.

BIRDING: Are you a birder? St. Croix has great places to view birds and wildlife.

POINTS OF INTEREST: The east end of the island is arid, with cactus and succulents, while the west end contains a rain forest, making the biodiversity on St. Croix amazing. Don't forget to visit the far east end of the island, Point Udall. It is the easternmost tip of the U.S.

FOOD AND RESTAURANTS: Everything you need--groceries and gasoline--are two minutes away. Blues Backyard BBQ and the Palms at Pelican Cove are both excellent, and just a short drive from our house. Blues has live music in a relaxed outdoor setting Wednesday through Friday nights. (Check out their Facebook page to see who is playing.) There are too many restaurants to list, but ask Patty, and she'll give you the foodie lowdown.

OUR VIEW: Feel like kicking back and just chillin' for a day? You'll also love hanging out on the deck poolside, soaking in the view of the Caribbean Sea. Want an even better view? Climb our hill to The Perch for a getaway like no other. Grab some wine or Cruzan Rum. The perch is a fantastic place to see the sun setting over the hills to the west. If you are very lucky, you'll even see a whale or two breaching in the crystal waters of the Caribbean sea. (Check out the Whale Watching STX Facebook page to see film footage.)

THE WEATHER: The weather on St. Croix ranges from amazingly great, 75 degrees (F) and sunny, to incredibly nice, 88 degrees (F) and sunny. Occasionally, there's a rain cloud that passes over, but in typical Caribbean fashion, the rains are usually quick and welcomed!

THE FUN: There are so many different things to do on St. Croix. (Search Google for 101 Things to Do on St. Croix.) From snorkeling and scuba to hiking and sailing, sunbathing, beach-combing, visiting historic sites, birding, and walking, you'll never run out of new adventures. THE TECH: Need to work-from-home while you are here? We hope not -- but, if you need to check in, we have free wi-fi and two desk workstations where you can plug in your own devices. A printer is available for your use.
