This hotel is most definitely not 4*, the rooms are shabby, and overpowering smell of bleach - hotel did kindly move us to another room, but it had broken amenities in the shower and the TV did not work. The lift and corridors had a weird smell resembling cooking and grease - Great location for exploring Christchurch - Quest Christchurch could certainly up their game to bring it 4* quality, having stayed in other Quests around NZ this is the poorest we've stayed in. Parking is good costs $25 a day with easy access

I have stayed here twice and will certainly stay again. Even though the cable car goes by quite frequently I was not bothered. Staff are lovely, location excellent for ChCh cbd, facilities good. Bed “ok”. Linens nice. Lots of hot water and water pressure good. Towels a little flimsy. There is no heat pump but there are wall heaters and a portable air con unit. Great to have plunger coffee and a nice wee kitchen. Also nice to have a balcony.

Last minute booking because the flight was cancelled. Free upgrade to apartment. Bed great. Sheets nice. Kitchen adequate for Brekky. Water pressure a little light but nice shampoo etc. great restaurants close by. Wifi strong. check out at 10:00 is too early

It was nice to stay here again and see that the room had new couches, dining table, tv etc. The only downfall of this place is someone really needs to give the showers a good clean in all the nooks and crannies.

The property is in a good location however for the cost the bathroom was very small as was the bedroom, the bathroom looked dirty, not enough appropriate lighting. There is no central heating/cooling - there is a bar heater in the bedroom and a mobile aircon unit in the lounge room. There was no airflow in the property.
