Beautiful cottage

We had a great stay at Woodside Cottage. Great location with pubs, butcher and playground all a short walk away. House was more spacious than the photos give credit for, felt plenty spacious for grandparents, parents, toddler and a dog. Would love to visit again

Relaxing stay in a lovely setting

We stayed at this property for 4 days in order to attend a nearby wedding. The property was exactly as described. With young kids the added bonus of the pool table, various board games and plentiful books kept them entertained! Would happily stay again

We had a great family weekend at Woodside. The house is generously sized, well equipped and very comfortable. Very family friendly with high chair and cot etc. welcome pack was a nice touch.

Lovely Christmas weekend getaway

The cottage is absolutely perfect for a Christmas getaway. Lovely open fire and a Christmas tree with other festive decorations helped our family feel the Christmas spirit while traveling. Lovely welcome touches with wine, mince pies and coffee and our daughter’s favorite, chocolates! Close to good walks and places to eat. Super kid friendly with books and games. Would highly recommend!

Superb holiday rental

This property excelled our expectations. Spacious, family friendly, modern and well equipped kitchen and a very thoughtful welcome pack. Walking distance to small shops and pubs. Highly recommended.

A short family stay in the Cotswolds

It was all we could have hoped for especially the child provisions. The beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have some bread etc and a bottle of wine. Plenty of parking space for our 3 cars. All in all just what we needed for our short stay.

Perfect stay, perfect location, beautiful cottage.

A group of 2 families with 3 children (between ages 1 - 3) stayed at this cottage over a weekend. From our first view of the cottage when we pulled into the drive it was beautiful and very well maintained. The inside was even more perfect, rooms were beautiful and tastefully decorated, kitchen was very well equipped - we couldn’t fault it. Beds were comfortable and great sizes. This cottage was perfect as when the kids were in bed the adults could make use of the games room. The welcome pack of coffee and chocolates was a nice touch. The cottage is perfectly located with a convenience store a short walk away and a pub (food is lovely!). We drove to Bourton on the Water which took about 20/25 minutes so a great location if you want to explore the Cotswolds. I would definitely stay here again.

Great Long Weekend Stay

We stayed at Woodside Cottage for a long weekend and really enjoyed the stay. The cottage is large and well equipped and in a great location. The village has a couple of nice pubs just a short walk away and a Morrison Daily and a good butchers. The cottage is about 70 yards away from the foot path to link into walks to the beautiful Chipping Campden and Hidcote Gardens. There’s plenty more we didn’t get time to see and will look to stay again in future.

Super Rental House with lots of amenities

A well presented house with plenty of space and everything you could want - lots of plates & cups; tvs, games and books etc. House is clean and comfortable with great views out to the back. Easy walking distance to village with choice of pubs and small shops. Highly recommended especially for families with young kids or groups of adults looking for some peace and relaxation

A great cottage to meet up with friends

We stayed at the Woodside cottage for a Friday to Sunday break. It was a chance for a group of old friends to get together. As we were travelling from around the UK the location of the Cottage in the Cotswolds was perfect. The instructions for arrival were brilliant and the cleanliness of the cottage was perfect. Some great little touches such as a loaf of bread and butter in the kitchen were great. Little shop over the road and a few ace pubs all within walking distance made for a really enjoyable weekend.

Ideal retreat for visiting the beautiful Cotswolds and Stratford upon Avon

Well laid out roomy accommodation with all the necessary appliances/equipment to make your stay comfortable. Situated in a lovely village within easy reach (circa 30 minutes) of many attractions. Garden quite small and website gives the impression of a much bigger space with views over the surrounding countryside. The views are there but only from the upstairs bedrooms. Local pubs very welcoming, food in King’s Arms particularly good. Local butchers sausages a must try. All in all a lovely stay, thank you.

Great Location for a Weekend Stay

Spacious house in a great location. Nice welcome Pack. Our stay could have been 5* but the house needs a thorough clean. By that i mean the skirting boards, kitchen drawers, under the beds. Ensuite toilet was left dirty for us. The garden especially the back garden needs a total tidy up. Area by the bins is disgusting. The owners need to give this house more attention!!

New year short break

We were a family of 8 adults of which two were on holiday from Australia, a 15 month old grandson & an elderly dog, Kitchen was well equipped with almost everything you would need. Games room was fun & used by nearly all also came in handy to put our elderly dog in overnight. Lovely open plan lounge/dining area, large spacious hall, bedrooms very all tastefully decorated & furnished. Great little butchers within walking distance which we used, also two friendly pubs. House is in a good location & within easy reach Broadway, Chipping Camden Stow on the wold. Would not hesitate to return.

Beautiful Cotswold Home

Myself and a group of friends stayed here for the weekend recently. The house was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The Kitchen is a fabulous place for drinking and chatting and we all got involved with the darts and pool after a few gins. It was nice to share breakfast together in the large dining room and although the weather was bad there is a nice garden and patio furniture available.Parking on the drive for 3 cars was no problem and the location is a few minutes walk from several pubs and shops. A great base for exploring and we would definitely return. Many Thanks

Amazing stay in an amazing property!!!

Following the recent passing of my husband and my children’s dad we enjoyed a much needed break and we chose the perfect place, Woodside Cottage. It was perfect for us all plus our dog. Every need inside and outside the cottage was catered for including parking and a really lovely social space outside. My children loved playing pool and darts. The kitchen is stunning and all the rooms were amazing. The gift basket on arrival is a really lovely touch as is the bread and milk provided. The location in Mickleton meant we could eat out locally and was near to other places to visit.The whole process booking through Bolthole Retreats has been a pleasurable experience. I had previously booked with another company and was let down. This company is reliable and professional with some amazing places to stay on offer. I am now looking for my next place to stay.

Lovely Xmas break

Great house with parking for 4 cars in a lovely friendly village. The Kings Arms is a 10 min walk and does lovely food, with a great welcome from both locals and the staff. My only issue with the house is it needs a good clean. By that I mean skirting boards, corners and under furniture, especially the sofas. There was also a couple of dirty items of cutlery in the drawer that I had to clean before using. I used to help my friend prepare her holiday home for guests at changeover and know what to check and where dirt gathers..Would definitely go back though.
