Forced My Family to Leave Early
Property management emailed me on day 2 of our 4-day stay with check out instructions. I responded that we had booked 3 nights. They told me another group was arriving so we had to leave. I was left without a place for my children, dog and me to stay and had to spend on an alternative at the last minute. I then had to email repeatedly with documentation of my reservation, asking for a refund for the third night. Supposedly I’m getting one. They apologized for double-booking the house.Other issues: the VRBO calendar isn’t accurate. I booked this property and management cancelled my reservation with no explanation because the property wasn’t actually available. I changed my travel dates and rebooked. It clearly wasn’t available then either.I wasn’t given a code to get in. After requesting one, they gave me two codes that didn’t work. House was very dusty and dishes in cabinet were not clean.The fourth bedroom and bathroom are in the otherwise unfinished basement. My kids were scared and refused to go down there. The location should be noted in the listing.
