Great stay with extended family. The house was actually better in person than the photos. It had everything we needed and well labeled. Beautiful views and easy access to the canal trail.

Jane was very friendly and welcoming! She was responsive and so accommodating.The property was exactly as it was advertised.The beds were very comfortable and plenty of room to spread out. The views were incredible!We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back again.

We had our annual friends get-together and the house was perfect. It was nice that all the rooms/beds accommodated adults, no twin bunkbeds to deal with. It was very comfortable and the living/dining areas had seating for everyone. We're coming back!

Wedding trip

We attended a wedding across the canal from this house at the Chesapeake Inn. It was very cool to see these really large ships go by as we sat on the deck. Very nice accommodations here! Jane was a great host!

Wonderful property!

We had a wonderful stay in Chesapeake City! The property was very clean, well stocked, and perfect for our family. The kitchen is gorgeous with a beautiful view of the water, and everything is labeled so items are easy to find and put away. Just a short walk to dinner at Schaefer’s Canal House and the trail. Highly recommend!

The house was spotlessly clean and fully equipped, including iron, steamer, hair dryers, coffee maker, toaster, high chair and more. There are 2 separate living rooms or family rooms which worked well for our family, and and a spacious kitchen with everything wee needed. Our host was more than considerate and easy to work with. I only wish we had more time to spend in this lovely home.

Peaceful area., The yard was large and pretty with a great view of the canal. The location is close to a walking trail and a wonderful restaurant. Across the water was a charming historical town. There were plenty of bedrooms, and bathrooms. The kitchen was new and spacious. There are a lot of stairs to get into the house and then again up and down the bi-level house. At least there was a lot if us to carry groceries and suitcases.

Football Champions weekend

We decided to stay here vs staying in DE for a football tournament this past weekend and the house was great! Very clean, beautiful view, just big enough to fit our 2 families with kids and was super comfy. The host was also great and very accommodating. We loved our little weekend getaway with a beautiful view!

Sibling Reunion

We had our annual sibling gathering at this beautiful house. I had 3 brothers and my sister ,and 2 significant others with me. They arranged in age from 70 - 83. We enjoyed sitting out on the upper deck and lower patio. We couldn’t have asked for more!

Lovely view!

My family was in the area for a family reunion. We had an incredible stay at this property!! The home boasts breathtaking views of the Chesapeake Bay that are simply unmatched. Looking at the beautiful lights at night from the restaurant across the way were awesome and waking up to the serene water each morning was a highlight. Nestled in a quiet neighborhood, it provided the perfect retreat for relaxation. The host was welcoming and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy beautiful surroundings!

St.Pat’s Weekend in Chesapeake City

What a wonderful weekend on the water! This rental is in a great location for exploring Chesapeake City. It is located on the Schaeffer’s side and in close proximity for walking. Just a short 3 minute-ish drive to the other side of town. The home is beautiful and well kept. The views are gorgeous, with a large deck to take it all in. The home had everything we needed for our group to enjoy a 40th birthday celebration during the hectic St.Pat’s weekend. Thank you so much for sharing your lovely space with us! We would happily come back to this rental again!

This home was absolutely magnificent! Location and scenery were wonderful. Just so much to keep our attention and kept us in awe. This was a family trip with siblings and soooo many wonderful memories were made. We are older now and it means more than ever before. Choose this house!

A wonderful place for all 6 of us adults to stay for a fun filled weekend for a family wedding. Beautifully done, well appointed house with an awesome view! It borders the canal trail, a five minute walk to the bike rental, and a great place (Schaffer’s) for dinner and entertainment. Our hostess was prompt, available at just a text message away. I will seriously plan to book again if I return. Nothing in this house was left undone and there was nothing that we needed that we didn’t have. Thanks again Jane for a beautiful weekend! Tami

Exceeded every expectation!

After months of planning for a spectacular 40th wedding Anniversary celebration weekend, we found this property available for our lodging at the last minute. Family and friends were coming from bear and far and I was uncertain how all 11 of us might be accommodated but everything worked out better than fine. Breath taking scenery from the wall length windows overlooking a quiet river and walking trail. Inside there was plenty of space to gather together or to find your own quiet cozy spot. Everything a traveler needed - coffee, ironing board, scissors, can opener and other incidentals were there! And towels and linens galore. Plenty of parking. Everyone expressed the desire to return again for more family time together in a place that was peaceful, relaxing, refreshing and welcoming! Jane, you’re a gem! Thank you!

Wedding weekend

My wife and I booked Jane’s house for our wedding weekend in Chesapeake city. Jane allowed us to use her property for our wedding of 40 ppl. She could not have been nicer or more accommodating for this special occasion. She responded to all of our questions quickly and even made special offers to make our wedding weekend even more special. I cannot say enough nice things about Jane. The house and property were gorgeous in a really great location along the canal in Chesapeake city. The views from the kitchen and deck are special. I would highly recommend Jane and her house for any occasion. We cannot wait to revisit in the future as we celebrate future wedding anniversary’s in Chesapeake city.

Beautiful house on the canal

Two of my brothers and an old friend came down to the c&d canal trail for a long weekend and a lot of bicycle riding. This house was right on the trail. A great house with great views. We were also within walking distance of a very good seafood restaurant. It was a perfect weekend. As far as the house it had everything we needed. We wanted for nothing. When we arrived at the house there was chocolates and snacks waiting for us as well as beers and sodas in the fridge with a note to help ourselves. We have been going on bike trips since 2013 and we all agreed we have never stayed in a nicer house. We also agreed we have never dealt with a nicer more attentive person than Jane (house manager) she was amazing.
