It was advertised as a 5-star hotel, but it definitely was not. From the start, the receptionist provided poor customer service, and we were told there were no parking spots available, forcing us to park far away. No assistance was offered, including help with our luggage. The room itself was underwhelming—outdated, with visible stains on the walls and curtains. This was far from what we expected from a 5-star hotel. The amenities were also very limited, consisting only of a restaurant and a small gym, which did not justify the price we paid. Additionally, when we requested room cleaning, the kitchen area was not cleaned, and dirty plates were left behind. There was no soap provided to wash the dishes ourselves, so we contacted the front desk. Their only response was, “Sorry, we are short-staffed.” Overall, we were very disappointed with this experience. Aside from the good location, this felt more like a 3-star hotel at best.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel. I cannot believe how badly we were deceived. Room was dirty when we arrived. One bed not made up. Bedding in closet was unwashed. Two towels for 4 people. No toiletries other than a plastic bottle of shampoo and conditioner in shower and hand soap. No help with luggage. Staff was not helpful. Marks/stains all over walls room and curtains. Three Star hotel with two star service. Breakfast and breakfast staff was very good and very friendly. We left a day early. Extremely disappointed and they need to have two stars removed and stop falsely advertising to people. They’ve never been in a five star hotel obviously.

Clean, spacious room. The stairs down to reception fron the entry are dark and not well lit so needs care to watch footing. There are lifts for the less mobile. Reception staff were friendly and polite but didnt really give any info about the hotel apart from our room number. Small gym, running machine worked but had a hole worn in the belt. Great location, 5 minutes into old town, 15 minutes to train station. Quiet.

Lovely Hotel!

The hotel was lovely, room was huge and the location could not be better. The only downside (and this is utterly personal) the room we were in was interior facing and overlooked the lobby, so limited natural light. But overall all excellent.

It is set up that provides a sense if extra privacy, the room was very well set up for a working person. Nespresso machine in the room, bathrobes, iron and all the toiletries provided. Big plus. So rare now. It saved me from having to purchase body cream. I travel with a small carry on.

Unique hotel rooms on ground floor

Hotel is a few blocks from all the activities in the town square. The hotel is quiet and has a restaurant/bar on premises. Service was excellent and I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Great hotel, ignore the bad review!

After reading a recent very negative review, i wa a little apprehensive before my stay 2 days ago. Our experience was 100% the opposite, we found the hotel charming with character. Get the breakfast option, it was great, and they will also make omelets or other items that are not on the buffet. Entire staff was excellent and helpful. Stabdars room was large, well appointed, and quiet. Highly recommend,ignore the unhappy review from an obviously unhappy person.

This property was being renovated when we were there but it resulted in an odd layout. Our room had two king-size beds rather than a seating area as advertised. This was weird and disappointing. Staff although professional if approached, appeared aloof at other times. The price of the room was good and the location was convenient.
