How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Jaisalmer

If you like the idea of spending more time at the airport bar and less time at the security checkpoint on your way to Jaisalmer, follow these helpful tips:

  • Make sure you know the whereabouts of your travel ID and boarding pass. You don't want to hold up the queue when you're asked to produce them.
  • Bear in mind that belts with metal buckles can set off the body scanner's alarms. If you're wearing one, you may be instructed to step back and take it off before continuing.
  • Make sure your laptop and electronic devices are easy to reach. These items need to be put through the X-ray machine in separate tubs.
  • When you approach the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to place all liquids, gels and creams in a separate tub for scanning. Make sure they're all packed in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Give some thought to your choice of footwear. Slippers are awesome because they're a cinch to slip out of when you're doing the airport security checks. Try wearing a pair on your next flight!
  • The list of non-permissible items is forever changing. Browse your carrier's website to learn about what is not allowed on board their aircraft.
