How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Donegal

If you like the thought of spending more time at the airport restaurants and less time navigating your way through security on your way to Donegal, just follow these helpful tips:

  • Make sure your boarding pass and passport are easy to access. You'll be required to present them straightaway.
  • You'll have to stop the tunes for a few minutes. Headphones and earphones must be taken off and put in a tub for X-raying. The same applies to items such as heavy jackets and belts.
  • Laptops must be taken out of their cases and placed in a tub before being X-rayed.
  • Hand cream, toothpaste and other toiletry items in liquid, gel or cream form need to be stored in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters). They also need to fit in a 1-quart (1-liter) clear zip-lock bag.
  • Construction boots and other heavy shoes are usually X-rayed at the security checkpoint. Consider wearing lightweight sneakers instead.
  • The list of prohibited items is forever updating. Have a look at your airline's website to understand what is not allowed on board their flights.
