How to get through airport security fast when traveling to Abuja

Your trip to Abuja begins the minute you've finished all the security checks. We've summarized a few useful tips to ensure you pass through quickly:

  • Security personnel will request to see your travel ID and boarding pass as part of their checks. Tuck them away in an accessible place, so they're all ready for inspection.
  • You'll have to stop the tunes for a short while. Headphones must be removed and put in a tub for X-raying. The same goes for items such as coins and keys.
  • Electronic goods such as tablets, laptops and phones are always sent through the X-ray machine separately. Make sure they're easily accessible.
  • When you approach the security checkpoint, you'll be asked to put all gels, liquids and creams in a separate tray for inspection. Make sure they're all packed in containers smaller than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) and sealed in a clear zip-lock bag.
  • Consider your choice of footwear. Slippers are awesome because they're a piece of cake to take off when you're at the security checkpoint. Try wearing a pair on your next journey!
  • Some destinations have stringent quarantine laws. Consider where you're off to and whether or not it's permissible to travel with unpackaged foods.
