It's a very spacious, attractive, bright, well-stocked apartment in a charming part of the city near a ton of great restaurants and shops of the downtown mall and nearby Belmont, and in a nice building. You will have to sign a separate contract with a third-party manager, Stay Charlottesville. As per prior reviews, the bedrooms are quite light at night from street lights and there's a high propensity for street noise e.g. we were woken up at 7am two of the days by a truck tearing up the brick on the street outside, in the middle of one night by people yelling, and by the bed frames, which squeak loudly at the slightest movement. So if you're a light sleeper, you may want to bring eye masks and ear plugs. We also had a problem with the electronic door lock continually breaking, which required half a dozen phone calls and multiple workmen coming to the apartment over several days to try to fix it. We kept being told different things by different people as to what the issue was and how it would be solved. They were all very nice and responsive, but we should have been given a spare key the first time it happened, not after the fifth. In addition, the TVs kept coming on at random times, including in the middle of the night and very early in the morning, and one of the property people said that's been going on for months. Wifi was continually spotty so we wouldn't recommend this as a place to work from.
