We booked this property because of it’s fantastic location. You can park the car for the weekend and walk everywhere as you’re in the heart of historic Charleston. The hotel itself is a dump. The beds were comfortable but that is the only thing positive. No maid service, a drained pool, no ice, water damage on the ceiling, and we had to get up several times during the night to empty the dehumidifier. It cost us $580 for 2 nights and would have cost us less than $200 if it were located in any other city. I recently found out this property has been sold and is closing soon. That’s why none of the employees care. They never should have charged those rates for a sub-par experience. Maybe the new owners will turn it around.

My second stay - best location in Charleston for a very fair price. Property is not fancy - but rooms are clean and comfortable and close to all historic sights!

I like the convinces of being near everything. The property also have a restaurant in the from which one a plus. But the room and very old dated. They have a very humility issue in which I have a humidifier collecting water. The room furniture and mattress are bit up and need to be replaced. Also the room need a new, clean curtains and a fresh cover of pain. The room and a very weird smell because of the humidity.

When I booked reservstion I didn't see anything regarding a parking fee. When I pulled in town at 1PM (too early for checkin ,which I understsand) they asked me for a $20 parking fee. And then when I checked out there's another $20 parking fee.
