There were water leak dripping down from the light fixture in the bathroom. The problem was caused my overflow bathtub above the floor, and the management did call firefighter to check it out later. Also, the room we were at was noisy at night due to railroad very close to it. Can hear multiple trains passed by overnight.

The front desk staff was super helpful. We had just stayed in a downtown Chicago hotel for 2 nights. It was 5x the price and only 1/4 as nice as your hotel! Thank you! We will always choose you when we can!

The manager and the staff are amazing and very friendly. The elevator was broke and they are working on getting it fixed but it was an inconvenience but again the staff was very helpful and always smiled. The air conditioning was good and the breakfast was a 8 out of 10.

While the staff were nice at the front desk, they were apologetic that the elevator closest to the front of the building wasn't working. The one that was working was the further from the room, seriously inconvenient. It sounded like it has been out for awhile according to staff. The room itself was missing tissue, paper towels , dish towels & wash rags, plus had load of dirty dishes in the dishwasher. The next morning, we had no hot water in the shower. We left ot running on hot for over 15 min and it barely reached warm but since we were leaving early, we couldnt do anything like change rooms etc. We did tell the front desk. I've stayed at many Homewood suites so i know this isn't the normal but I am not a satisfied customer at this point based on this stay.

The property is within walking distance of the university campus. The area feels very safe and quiet. The building it’s clean overall all but the suite that we got needs updating. The kitchen appliances are old and some are broken, the cabinets feel sticky. The shower had mold. The tissues box and tissues were wet. The carpet wasn’t vacuumed well. The staff was very polite and helpful.

Great Stay!

Homewood Suites is in the perfect location near the university. It was clean, had plenty of space, and they had a simple, but nice breakfast. We had to ask for extra sheets and a blanket for the pull out sofa. It was delivered promptly and the person who delivered it was professional. Highly recommend!

The hotel is right near the center of town for all of the bits and pieces that locals would like. Mostly food, but also some of the attraction areas, and the bar/grills downtown at night.
