Downtown Chama Apartment - Other Side of the Tracks
Originally built in the early 1900’s, this newly renovated 2nd story apartment has endless views of not only the CTSR, but also the mountains, it feels like going back in time. A time when the old west was alive with horse buggies, gun fights and travelers headed to Colorado and California looking for gold. With the convenience and luxury of modern amenities, a tub, walk in shower and king size beds, we are confident you will enjoy your stay in our cozy, friendly Northern New Mexico town.
We are available by phone, text, or email during your stay. We live just a couple miles away if a guest needs anything.
Across The Tracks is located directly across the street from the Cumbres & Toltec train in downtown Chama making it a quick easy walk to the train station, shops, and restaurants.

Magical. Enchanting. Serene. Through the years, locals have heard the many words tourists have found to describe the Chama Valley. Nestled between the Rocky Mountains, across the street from the historic Cumbres & Toltec Railroad, sitting right downtown, and within walking distance from the Valley’s oldest standing commercial building, Foster’s, which has been around since 1881, sits a two-bedroom apartment rich with its own history, awaiting your arrival. Whether you’re wanting to ride the train, immerse yourself in nature, or enjoy a cup of coffee in a small, local cafe, you really can have it all when you stay on the Other Side of the Tracks. Our recently remodeled apartment features views of the train, plenty of parking space, and free Wi-Fi. Conveniently located in the heart of town, the opportunities for your getaway are endless. Mountains, rivers, wildlife, and more surround us here! We are so grateful you have decided to visit Chama, and we can’t wait to hear the words you find to describe your stay with us.
