Cheap, that is about it.

Pros: The staff were extremely nice. A/C worked great. Large room, with fridge and microwave. Free paper. Price through an online site was reasonable.
Cons: Condition of the room is the biggest issue.
Location: There are a lot of things close by, from food to recreation. Fairly close to ski areas.
I don't think I have ever stayed in a hotel/motel where the rooms looked this bad. The room seemed fairly clean, but their attempts (in vain) to keep the room up did not work. You could not find a wall, or ceiling that didn't have paint falling off, or worn spots. The tub had been repaired, looked bad, was missing caulk, the joints were brown, don't know if it was mold or what. I thought the toilet was dirty, but in an attempt to clean it, it was just paint that dripped from an attempt to paint the seat. There were two ice machines, neither worked. The TV was a nice flat screen, but even though the list next to it showed about 28 channels, you'd be lucky to get 20. HBO was on the list, but did not work. The hotel was supposed to be non-smoking, but there was an odor, don't know if it was from smoke or mold. There was a door to the outside left over from a prior era, but it did not open. I'm ok with that, except you could see daylight around the bottom, which may have let water in. The main door did not have a lock to keep others out, and the outside door to the hallway appeared to be open all night.

Good for a quick stay, can bring dogs

Pros: Free breakfast, Close restaurants, Quiet, dogs are allowed, beds were clean and comfortable, close to rte 7 and rte 4
Cons: bathroom could have been cleaner
this was the second time I've stayed at this hotel. It's ok for a quick stop and we picked it mainly because we could bring our two medium to large dogs in the room. The two good things: the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast was good. It was essentially clean, but old, especially the bathroom. We did find as we were checking out that there was the last person's nasal spray left under the bed so I question how well the floor was getting cleaned. but the linens were clean and the room smelled fine. What is also good if you have dogs is that each room has a door that opens (only from the inside) out onto the parking area, so we didn't have to bring the dogs through the hallway to take them out.

This property is not being well maintained.

Pros: Close restaurants, Free Internet
Cons: Noisy
The indoor pool had a plastic cover over it. The desk clerk said it was a solar cover, but made no offer to have it removed if we really wanted to swim. No problem, we lost all interest. We were placed in a second floor room in a separate building that had vacent stores under it, no staff presence, and there was an odor in the stairway I could not identify. There was no elevator and a set of steep stairs we had to lug our baggage up to get to the room. No apparent outside stairway in the event of a fire. The outer door was never locked, although it appeared to have key card locks. The frosting? Found a live black beetle walking around between the sheets of one of the two made-up beds! Hotel is in a seedy area of Rutland, Vermont, and it does fit the neighborhood.

Close to Killington

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, close to mountain
Pretty standard place for a one night stay. Everything is a bit old but the bed was comfortable and the free internet and breakfast was a plus. It's close to killington resort so it did the job for us. The rooms are a bit dated with tube tv's, older furnishings as well as an older bathrooom. The hallways have a bit of a musty cigarette smell but the room didn't have any unwanted smells which was great. The woman at the front desk was very helpful and polite I would stay again for a one or two night stay.

Would definitely stay there again. Easy to find on Rte 7

Pros: Free breakfast, Free Internet, Quiet
Felt very welcome right from check in. Breakfast was superior, even fresh waffles. Breakfast room was clean and food was replenished when it needed to be. Would definitely stay there again.
