I received the check out information late. It was suggested that I not wear shoes in the cabin, but it was not clean enough to do so. The outdoor area could have been a lot cleaner and organized. The Adirondack chairs and picnic table were so unclean and sticky I had to use a rug mat from my car to sit on them. I had to use that same mat to sit on the bench at the table indoors. The bed was very comfortable and the shower worked well. The amenities were great. I used and appreciated the firewood, used one of the smores, the water and the popcorn. I bought ice cream and found out that the freezer really can't keep ice cream even within one hour...it was soup. I stayed two nights and wanted to go out for a couple of meals... There was no information about the area or what might be available. I'm not saying the stay was not enjoyable...but, with just a bit more effort it would be far better.

The things I’ve loved about the experience were the cleanliness of the cabin, along with easy parking. There was nothing that I didn’t like about the experience, definitely would have to go there again.

Amazing!

We had a wonderful four-night stay! I was pleasantly surprised to find the cabin so fully equipped. There was coffee, tea, creamers, dishes, pots and pans, aluminum foil, a s’mores kit, bug repellent, three bundles of firewood, and so many other thoughtful touches that made our stay even better. The layout of the cabin and all the necessities were clearly well thought out. I’ll definitely come back when I get the chance!

The Catskiils Postcard Cabin experience was truly one of a kind. If you're looking for a relaxing time away from the city or wherever, this is THE PLACE. The accommodation of all the essentials included was super helpful, they provide you with everything you need for the perfect stay! The little details included which is from the woodfire starter kits, to a cute smores kit for two, waters, snacks and breakfast kits, they got you covered. I was fairly new to alot of new things but they provide all the instructions needed to work everything out. A true gem and I plan on returning really soon, because even though it was one night it was enough to give me motives to come back for more! Thank you Postcard Cabins! See you soon!

I am an Expedia Platinum member and have been for years. I have never before experienced a room downgrade without being notified, yet on this trip I was downgraded from a suite to a standard cabin — still charged the original suite price — and not informed at any point before check-in. I only discovered this after asking about another issue (a clogged toilet that required two staff visits). Management admitted the suite was out of service due to flooding, but this was never communicated in advance. Instead, the information was hidden until I brought it up. As a loyal Platinum member, this lack of transparency and failure to honor my booking is unacceptable.

2 nd stay

We returned for our second stay this summer after finding this place and staying here last summer. It a nice, quiet, little spot where you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the forest with the comfort of a modernized cabin. We cooked and enjoyed all our meals over a wood fire camping grill surrounded by a beautiful forest. Staff is always around and quick to help.

I had a really good stay at Post Cabins. It was super quiet and peaceful, exactly what I needed. The staff was very pleasant and welcoming. I arrived a little before check-in, and they made sure my room was ready right away so I wouldn’t have to wait. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and overall, I had a great experience. I’d definitely come back again.

The cabin is nice. However, we encountered two issues。 The first was a clogged toilet which required two visits by staff to be resolved. We had to wait for staff which prevented us from exploring the “campgrounds”. The second issue was more disturbing. I booked a suite type cabin but was assigned a standard type without any type of communication. We were told one of their suites is out of service due to flooding. There was absolutely no communication about downgrading us prior to check in. Management didn’t confirm the downgrade until we exchanged texts regarding the clogged toilet. Would they have brought up the downgrade on their own if it weren’t for the text exchange regarding the clogged toilet issue?
