Our approximately 100 square meters apartment in CASA TORRE is located in 1. Floor of the house with a 50sqm roof terrace. It is ideal with 2 bedrooms - to the east - and 2 bathrooms for 2-4 guests. But it is also convenient for fifth to use - if necessary, there is a sofa bed in the living room. We are happy to put them in one of the bedrooms also a 3. Bed available. One of the two bathrooms is located on the ground floor next to the entrance - and is therefore easily accessible from the garden for you and your children. All rooms are very large and tall, measured by the usual standards. Also a reason for our many regulars, since 20 years again and again like to spend a few weeks here. The shaded by a large canvas sail terrace is entered directly from the living room. It is oriented to the south-west and planted with a laurel hedge and roses. Another seat with barbecue, which belongs to this apartment, is located in the garden, directly opposite the apartment entrance. He is shadowed by gnarled old maple trees. The apartment itself is characterized by its rustic high beamed ceilings and cotto floors. All rooms are furnished to a high standard with a combination of classics of Bach time, antiques and modern art. The view from up here is always overwhelming, with a clear view you can see over the valley below us to the 90 km distant Gran Sasso. The largest room, 35 square meters, is the living-dining room with kitchenette. The surrounding park is characterized by the old trees, gravel paths high hedges and garden sculptures.

Beautiful property, great location, comfortable apartment

Santa Maria is a stunning property in a beautiful & quiet location ideally situated for Orvieto. The apartment was comfortable & well equipped. The owners were most helpful & pleasant. We loved their collection of animals: 2 friendly dogs & an assortment of cats & peacocks. We also enjoyed being able to pick vegetables from the owner’s garden. The swimming pool was wonderful. A very enjoyable stay.

Entspannung PUR

Wir können allen bisher geschriebenen Bewertungen nur zustimmen. Wir (2 Ehepaare/2 Wochen/ Ü 50)) kamen selten so entspannt aus dem Urlaub zurück. Wer fernab vom Trubel zur Ruhe kommen möchte ist hier goldrichtig. Das Anwesen ist einfach traumhaft schön, sowohl die Gebäude wie auch der Park mit dem tollen langen Pool. Einrichtungstechnisch fehlte es an nichts und im Nachbardorf bekommt man alles was man so braucht. Herr Kuckuck, der deutsche Vermieter, ist sehr angenehm und hilfsbereit und gibt sehr gerne Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurants und vieles mehr. Abends waren wir in der Umgebung sehr oft Essen (nicht überteuert) und sind dann noch gerne auf einen Absacker in die Axterix-Bar - diese sollte man aufjedenfall besuchen - egal zu welcher Uhrzeit. Wir haben sehr viele Ausflüge in die Umgebung unternommen und waren auch gerne Baden am Bolsena-See. Dort gibt es auch Plätze mit Liegestuhl/Schirm - Vermietung. Einen Tag sind wir mit dem Zug nach Rom, was wir aufjedenfall empfehlen würden, wenn man nur 1h entfernt ist. Einen weiteren Tag sind wir ans Meer gefahren (1h20min), an den Strand der uns empfohlen wurde - würden wir aufjedenfall auch wieder machen. Die ganze Region ist touristisch überhaupt nicht überlaufen, ländlich geprägt und sehr grün :-). Wir können die Unterkunft und die Gegend zu 100 % weiter empfehlen.

A little heaven on earth!

A wonderful house in a beautiful setting, an apartment well and beautifully equipped with enough space for 4/5 people. The swimming pool is super, for fun or for swimming the laps you want. Rainer is always available for helping out or giving some useful information. We enjoyed a wonderful holiday in Umbria!

Prachtig terrein, uitzicht en regio

Terrein heel mooi aangelegd en goed verzorgd. Zwembad is gigantisch en heerlijk, kids hebben heerlijk gezwommen. De dieren zijn erg vermakelijk: pauwen in alle kleuren, de honden heel rustig en lief (zelfs onze dochter die honden normaal eng vindt - vond ze lief) De gastheer is zorgzaam met een flesje wijn bij ontvangst en bereidheid om alle vragen te beantwoorden.

Ruhe und italienisches Flair

Wir haben zwei sehr entspannte Wochen in diesem wunderschönen Anwesen verbracht und können es absolut weiterempfehlen. Es war durchgehend heiß, aber trotzdem gut erträglich aufgrund der Höhenlage und dem immer wiederkehrenden Wind. Die Wohnung ist sehr großzügig und bietet schöne Ausblicke in alle Richtungen, eine Wohltat für die Sinne. Morgens schon vor dem Frühstück auf der Terrasse zu sitzen und den verschiedenen Geräusche zu lauschen war ein Genuss. Interessant und besonders waren natürlich auch die vielen dort ansässigen Pfaue, die netten Hunde und Katzen. Der tolle und riesig große Pool lädt zum Schwimmen und Relaxen ein. Der nette Vermieter hat uns mit guten Tipps versorgt, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Santa Maria ist ein sehr guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge aller Art. Der nahegelegene Ort Castel Giorgio und besonders die Bar Asterix ist ein Ort, am dem sich jung und alt - fast ausschließlich Einheimische- treffen. Man bekommt in dem 5km entfernten Ort alles für den täglichen Gebrauch, auch gibt es einige Möglichkeiten zum Einkehren. Kein touristischer Ort, dafür echt italienisch. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Traumhafter Aufenthalt

Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder im Alter von 8 und 9 Jahren) haben eine wunderschöne Woche auf Santa Maria verbringen dürfen. Es war pure Entspannung in einer unglaublich schönen Umgebung, zu der neben den alten Klostergebäuden besonders die Tiere (Kimba, Brera, Katzen und Pfauen) beigetragen haben. Ganz besonders empfehlenswert für alle, die Ruhe und eine schöne Umgebung suchen, nicht zuletzt der tolle Pool trägt hierzu bei.

The property very nice. The historical Villa a the top of an mountain near Orvieto/lake Bolsena and 1.5 hour drive from the sea is a perfect stay. The villa is situated in a large park with a lot of privacy. The owner takes well care of the property.

Un posto meraviglioso

L'appartamento è esattamente come nelle foto, molto ben tenuto e pulito. Oltre al bel terrazzo, abbiamo avuto a disposizione un'ampia parte di parco davanti all'appartamento con tavole barbecue, oltre alla piscina condivisa con gli altri ospiti, ma mai sovraffollata. L'organizzazione degli spazi esterni consente la massima privacy. La proprietà in cui si trova l'appartamento è molto ampio e ricco di vegetazione, e comprende addirittura un vero e proprio bosco in cui fare piacevoli passeggiate. Anche i bambini sono stati benissimo, ed hanno avuto modo di giocare con i cani e i gatti del sig. Rainer e di conoscere da vicino la famiglia di pavoni che vive nella proprietà. Il sig. Rainer è stato molto gentile, all'arrivo ci ha accolti offrendoci alcuni prodotti locali e durante il soggiorno ci ha permesso di assaggiare gli ortaggi del suo orto. La proprietà è ad alcuni km da Castel Giorgio, quindi abbastanza isolata, ed è il luogo ideale per trascorrere le proprie vacanze in totale relax. Consigliatissimo!

Wir haben eine sehr erholsame Woche in Castel Giorgio verbracht, einem idyllischen, ruhigen Anwesen mit Hunden, Pfauen und Katzen. Die Gastgeber waren äußerst zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wer Ruhe und Erholung sucht, fernab vom Trubel, ist hier richtig. Auto ist erforderlich. Wir werden sicher wiederkommen!

Wir hatten eine wunderbare Pfingstwoche Ende Mai als Familie mit drei Kindern in der Ferienwohnung casa torre bei den sehr hilfsbereiten deutschen Vermietern. Wir konnten die großzügige Wohnung und die wunderbare Terrasse bei schönem Wetter genießen und die Kinder hatten großen Spaß am bereits angenehm temperierten Pool. Die Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Uns haben die Räder schlagenden Pfauen fasziniert. Vielen Dank auch für das nette Starterpaket mit Olivenöl, Wein und verschiedenen Lebensmitteln.

Sehr große hohe Räume, riesiges gepflegtes Park- und Waldgrundstück, mit Super-Panorama

Eigentlich müßte man es garnicht verlassen, wären da nicht all' die verlockenden kulturellen Möglichkeiten rund um. Wir hatten zudem Glück mit Superwetter um diese Jahreszeit. Die Sauna und Ftnessraum runden alles perfekt ab, nachdem man am Tage am Pool-Südhang schon windgeschützt in der Winter-Mittasgssonne liegen konnte. Ein Geheimtipp nicht nur für die sonnige Jahreszeit. Wir kommen wieder, vielleicht schon im Herbst
