The beach is beautiful but I did not have a pleasant experience. They charge additional Internet fees at very high prices. The room and bathroom cleaning is very bad. Be prepared to deal with a very uncomfortable troop of salesmen stalking guests everywhere in the facilities trying to sell Decameron annual packages.

Beautiful place...but that is about it!

Pros: The entertainers are really great for kids, the only saving grace for us at this place (its views) & an entertainer by the stage name of Arequipe! T
Cons: Staff service to members, all the staff members seemed annoyed when you asked for something. especially when dining at the buffet or at the snack bar
Location: Everything is not included at this all inclusive. Anything you want to do at their beach...you must pay for.
If you are staying less than 5 days, they do not care about you. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A WEEKEND get away. My family of 4 went for a weekend get away of 2 nights before returning to home from 2 week vacation in Colombia. You are not allowed to dine in the their restaurants on your 1st night there, NO MATTER WHAT. So you pay for a night but cant enjoy what they offer on the 1st night. You HAVE to eat at their buffet...which is just OK & super repetitive. I was there 2 nights & it was the same food choices. You have to reserve a dinner table for their restaurants at 8AM of that day, so there goes relaxing or sleeping in on your vacation. If you get there at 8:30 AM the line is long & you will miss out, as we did. I asked the Manager why they don't have enough space for their guests & he said there is always room if you stay here 5 days. He said eventually you will get to get a spot but because I was only there 2 nights it doesn't give them time to fit us in. I already told him we robbed of our 1 nights dine at their restaurants & now the 2nd as well. He said if I came back at 3PM to the lobby he would check if any one had cancelled. Again...i would have to walk all the way to reception desk & waste my vacation time to check with him. They do not understand guest services here or accommodate to anyone. Instead of the manager checking in on me or their staff following up. Leaving me a message or a note...i gave to track him down. Wifi is not free & its $/hour

not happy

Too expensive, too complicated, to many stairs. You have walk a lot for everything. You have to get your drink and by the time u get where u sitting is hot. I did not like it, beautiful view, but they have to improve their way of making the customer happy and make arrangements to make customers relax and not walk a lot.

Vacation in Baru.

Pros: Scenic location, entertainment shows/disco/beach/pools/tennis. Very friendl staff.
Cons: Add free Wifi, change the dining arrangements to allow more sittings at the restaurants.
Location: Rented a boat to visit many beautiful island locations. Visit Cartagena, forts and walled city were fun.
Spectacular location, enormous facility, very friendly staff, very clean and modern rooms with scenic ocean view. Draw backs, had to pay for WIFI, is this to keep people off their cell phones or to make a few dollars? Room had no hot water. Number one turn off, which I found was the same in San Andres aquarium hotel, you must wake at 8:00 am, wait in line, to make a reservation for dinner at one of the fine restaurants they have. Otherwise you eat at the mediocre buffet. Why not have more sittings available?
