Awel Taf in St Clears lived up to our expectations and was a good base for our week in Wales. We arrived in the latter part of a heatwave and were glad of the cool of the reception room after a hot day. The house is well equipped and comfortable, and had a thew great bonus of a sheltered parking garage for our car and a part of the large utility room where we could safely store our bikes. Outside is a private yard with good seating and table, which on a warm evening we also enjoyed. The owners live next door and Robert was always friendly and helpful every time we spoke with him.
The house is good base for a holiday in south-west Wales, being only 10 miles from Carmarthen with all its shops and facilities but also very close to the beautiful Carmarthenshire and Pembrokeshire coasts. There are plenty of good beaches and activities nearby.
We can happily recommend this holiday home.

Clean, comfortable, well equiped accommodation
The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. As a party of four adults and two children, we had plenty of space. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. The complimentary tea, milk, biscuits and welshcakes were a nice surprise, particularly after our long journey. The property is well equipped. The kitchen has a good selection of crockery, cutlery, cooking equipment and utensils. It is also very family friendly. There are installed stair gates, a high chair and children's plates/cups available to use. The upstairs bathroom has a bathtub and the downstairs bathroom has a large shower. The bedrooms are nicely decorated. The only downsides that we found are the mattresses are hard (but I guess this is personal preference) and the two double bedrooms overlook the main road through the village which can get quite busy and noisy. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend!
