Since before arriving, the manager was extremely friendly and accommodating. The food from the restaurant smelt delicious. Our fur baby loves the quiet and window seat from our room. The room was neat, tidy, and functional. Every staff member has made an effort to say hi and to ask if if our stay was enjoyable. Very happy to recommend the Rose Hotel to anyone.

Out dated motel, door handles broken, ceiling stuck together with heavy duty masking tape, arrived to have to ring a number and told lift the key mailbox and pick a key to whichever room. When departed got phone call hours after we had left accusing us of taking the key when we left it in the room in front of the tv.

Dog's barking inside units. Fridge that leaked defrosting water. Shower where water runs out of cubicle. Noisy party till 11.pm. people smoking out side of designated area. Can't recommend . No good points.

Property was good value for the money, not super new and dated but clean. Down side was that there were no blankets just sheets and the itchy throw over thing. It’s not summer yet and there is still a chill at night. If you like warmth at night ask for a blanket in the room.

The motel was very clean but old really needs to be renovated to make it more modern. The staff were very lovely & friendly. The bed we slept in was amazing so comfortable. But the sad thing for us with our stay was neighbours up fighting all night which kept us awake a lot. Not the owners fault.

Deepak and his wife make me feel at home when I stay there. Thier two daughters are adorable. I highly recommended that when you are in Mackay that you should stay there. The service is fantastic, rooms are very clean, and the staff are great.

This hotel seemed to be mostly industrial working staff. All sitting outside their rooms drinking alcohol and smoking.. We were put in the room next to the laundry and their was a continuous precession of people going to and from the laundry… the rooms have wood plantation shutters on the fridge my wall next to the door, ours were broken which meant security was non existant.. not that we got any sleep with the constant chatter either in the laundry or in front of our room from inconsiderate guests. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone ever…

The new owner put a lot of effort into the business, and we had a very comfortable stay. Great included breakfast.
