The Pelican is an elegant custom-built home in a private neighborhood that offers the best of both worlds. The popular Oyster Farm Restaurant and wedding venue is conveniently located on Kings Creek Marina at the end of the street. Or take a short golf cart ride to the historic downtown restaurants and shops!
The sophisticated coastal style of the open concept first floor draws you in and is the perfect setting for quiet evenings or fun-filled family nights. There is a 65” smart TV, cozy leather sectional, and a two-sided gas fireplace, shared with the screened in porch. Step through the French doors onto the porch; perfect for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. The beautiful dining area seats 8 and is open to both the living room and kitchen. Make yourself at home in the chef appointed kitchen boasting a gas Wolf range and second wall oven. The coffee bar comes fully equipped with Keurig, drip, French press and pour over options. This level also has a large laundry room, fully fenced in backyard and an outdoor shower - perfect for washing off sand from the beach across the street!
The first floor suite includes a luxurious king bed, television, a full private bath and access to the porch. The second floor has wonderful views, a children’s reading area, and two lovely bedrooms. These bedrooms offer privacy and are joined by a jack-and-jill bathroom. The front room includes a king bed with a WinkBed mattress, television, and a lovely view of the Chesapeake Bay. The second bedroom offers 2 twin bunk beds (4 twins total) and ample closet space. There are two twin cots available in the closet for additional sleeping (the two cots allow for a total of sleeping ten).
The third-floor loft is the perfect place to enjoy panoramic views of the Bay and the Marina! This level includes a sitting area, library, and a large executive desk (an ideal office for working from home). During your stay, please take advantage of the carefully curated library. From here, step out onto the spacious rooftop deck – a perfect spot to settle in with a good book or enjoy conversation and a beverage while you watch the sunset.

Love this house and this town!
First time stay in Cape Charles and we had such a good week! So clean and safe. Perfect for our toddler grandson and also fun places to eat and drink for the adults.
The Pelican house itself was awesome too! Such a clean and upscale home. The layout worked well for us with the grandparents on the first floor and our adult kids/grandkids on the 2nd. And let’s not forget the 3rd level - the rooftop office and lounge! The absolute perfect location to start and end your day. Coffee in the morning with sunshine and gentle breeze. And end the day there with fantastic sunsets.
The house has so many extras including board games, books, beach towels, chairs & toys. Lots of fun entertainment at your fingertips.
Last thing is great linens and really good beds. Plus the kitchen has great appliances and cookware.
You won’t be disappointed!
