Superb Villa

Stayed there as a family and it was the perfect hub to explore the surroundings of Tuscany. Not far from Florence, Pisa and Cinque Terre - beautiful views and peaceful at night. The house itself was in superb condition and the host was responsive and helpful.

Superb Property in a very calm area. The House, Pool and Garden (it‘s actually a park!) were clean and in a very good condition. We had a good time in Lucca Hills and would always go back.

GREAT VIEWS

The house is on a hill and has a great view !! It is nice and cosy and we startet the chimney to have a relaxed time. Since it is up the hill it is quiet and private and we enjoyed that a lot. We spent new year there and will come back in the summer !

We loved our stay!

This was a perfect house to spend some days away from the frantic world and just relax among plum and olive trees . The House Manager was very welcoming and helpful. They always responded if we needed somethinga recommendation. The house is very well equipped for cooking. It was very clean and thoughtfully installed.. The view on the valley of Lucca is worth the climb!! Thank you again.

Dream come true in Tuscany!

Our five night stay at Citrus Charm Farmhouse was truly a dream come true. The setting and accommodations were wonderful! The house is so very comfortably furnished, the kitchen very well equipped, pool was awesome and great location for day trips to Lucca, Florence, Cinque Terre and Pisa. The owners were incredible! Perfect balance of there if you need anything but totally respectful of your privacy. In fact the property is laid out in such a way you aren't even aware of their home being adjacent. Also working with Monica from Lucca Apts and Villas was a pleasure. Very helpful with directions, suggestions etc. Nothing- everything was perfect!

Citrus Charm farmhouse was truly charming.

Good place to visit with family and we had the whole pool to ourselves. There is an air conditioner on the second floor and the first (ground) floor is being kept cool by the solid stone house itself, so even when it was 36C outside, the house was ok. Pleasant surprise was to find a chest full of books to read! Owners and Monica were kind and friendly, also the suggestions of nearby restaurants were spot on. There was wifi and a TV. Picturesque town Lucca is within a 15-20 min drive, also the beach is not far away. Most valuable was for us the peace and quiet of this very private stay — no other guestsvisitors on the property exept the nice owners themselves (in the other house) who were attentive if we needed.

It has been a few months since our wonderful stay at Citrus Charm farmhouse but we all still think about it and can't wait to return! Our family had not been together for a couple of years due to COVID and we were so happy to finally to spend a week together in such a lovely home! The owner has created a warm and inviting home away from home. The location is perfect, the views are wonderful and the hospitality is exceptional. We were comfortable from the moment we arrived and certainly did not want to leave when our stay was over. The house was beautifully decorated, the bedrooms were comfortable and perfectly equipped and the outside patio was ideal for meals and relaxing! The pool area was spacious and perfect. The pool was very inviting during the hot days and the shaded areas were the best spots for afternoon naps. We loved our stay at Villa Citrus Charm and highly recommend it!

Would love to stay again in the future.

We had an amazing week's stay at this villa - it was a perfect tuscan experience and we'd highly recommend it. The bedrooms and living spaces are really well decorated and spacious. The views are amazing and the pool is a really great addition (pool towels are included). The villa is in a really quiet location where you don't get any noise from other properties, but it equally doesn't take long to drive into Lucca and to a great supermarket (Esselunga). The local restaurant is only a 5 minute BY CAR and is excellent. The kitchen has all the equipment that you'd need to cook, although we needed to buy all basics (oil, salt and pepper, etc). We used local taxis for our trip (download the AppTaxiItTaxi apps) and a taxi from the villa to the train station costs around 17-20€. Overall, we had a perfect trip and would love to stay again in the future.

So perfect and lovely

This home was so perfect and lovely for me and my family. We had 6 people total - me and my cousin, my parents and aunt and uncle. We had so much space and it felt like a paradise to come home to every day after exploring nearby towns. We took a day trip to Florence, Cinque Terre, and of course Pisa. I do recommend that if you have rolling suitcases, it is best to just take a cab to the home. It's super quick and inexpensive. We took cabs available in front of the train station to the home and when we left, there was a phone number to schedule cab. There is a binder in the home full of information, which was extremely helpful! I fell in love with Lucca and I definitely want to come back.

The host is super friendly and welcoming and provided us with great tips for restaurants and supermarkets. The apartment is very classical and exerts the true tuscan environment. The bedrooms are a bit dark, difficult to air and cool down as only the bedroom at the top floor has airconditioning, the other bedrooms have a small window. The host was able to provide small fans for us to use, which helped a bit. The beds are smaler than they look in the pictures (140 cm) The pool was nice and truly surrounded by nature. The owner of the house (who lives in the bigger house next door) wasn’t there, which made it a private pool during our stay. The host was super flexible and friendly.

Super bedankt!

Wij hebben een heerlijke week mogen verblijven in het geweldige huis Vila Limonaia. Omringd door vele olijfbomen en citroenbomen en de glooiing van het Toscaanse landschap. Wakker worden met een Italiaanse koffie in een geweldige tuin onder het genot van zingende krekels. Wat wil je nog meer? Een heerlijke duik in het nieuwe zwembad om even af te koelen! Of het mooie stadje Lucca bezoeken wat dichtbij ligt. Het huis straalt één en al Toscane uit. Het heeft dikke muren zodat het lekker koel blijft binnen. Daarnaast is de bovenruimte voorzien van een airco en hebben alle ramen insectenwering. Wat erg fijn is. Omliggende dorpjes zijn zeer authentiek en het nabijgelegen restaurant Tre Tigli is zeker een bezoek waard om de echte Toscaanse sfeer te proeven. De eigenaren zijn super vriendelijk en gastvrij en geven je het gevoel dat je alleen op hun terrein aanwezig bent. Wij hebben een heerlijke tijd gehad en zijn helemaal meegenomen in het oh zo fijne tempo van Toscane!
