In Capannoli .You'll be within 3 miles (5 km) of Villa Baciocchi and 6 miles (10 km) of Badia di Morrona with a stay here. La Spinetta Casanova and Peccioli Prehistoric Park are also within 6 miles (10 km).
We are on a hill, halfway between Pisa and Volterra. The room is part of our house, an old farmhouse from the late 1700s, renovated and expanded several times. Since we have lived there (late 1999), we have also made some changes, trying to maintain and recover the traditional architectural elements that still "survived". The house has two annexes outside: in the first there is the wood oven; the second is the tool shed with the laboratory/workshop, on whose roof the photovoltaic system is mounted, and which also functions as a bicycle shelter. The outdoor space includes a relaxation corner under the olive trees, the olive grove, the orchard, an uncultivated space with some spontaneous essences. From the renovation of the old disused vat room, we obtained the largest room; the other is on the second floor, and has a panoramic view of the nearby valley and Santopietro Belvedere. Both have an independent entrance and bathroom, and are furnished mainly with family furniture from the 1920s and 1930s. The large room is furnished as a double room, but can accommodate up to 4 people (2 in a double bed, 2 on a sofa bed); there is the possibility of an additional cot, but only for children under 12 years old. The panoramic room, on the other hand, can accommodate two people in a double bed. Our goal is to live in nature on tiptoe, trying to limit our "impact" as much as possible, even with difficulty, but always with great gratification ... What we offer our guests therefore wants to be a kind of presentation of the values and lifestyles that we have as a reference, seeking an informal and convivial relationship, and a comparison that can also go beyond the simple provision of a service ...
