The hotel was in the middle of renovations. The dust and air quality in the room made it difficult to breath and I ended up with a sore throat that lasted for the next 2 days. Our room was next to a noisy freeway. Breakfast was more than we expected with eggs, sausage, bacon, bagels, yogurt, waffles and much more provided. It was replenished as necessary. Staff were helpful and available. The room was stocked with tea, coffee and accompaniments with a pot to heat water and a refrigerator.. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were tiny on a king bed.

There was a leak in my room as I was on the top floor. It looked like it had been repaired before. I hadn’t noticed it when I first checked in. It rained the first night so the repair obviously didn’t work. I was given a new room but I don’t think that room should have been rented out in the first place. Also my key rarely worked to get into the building.

Just what I needed for an overnight stay

Staff were the high point of this visit, made us feel very welcome. The facilities and amenities are fine for the price. We were driving up from SF bay area for whitewater rafting and wanted to get the driving done the night before. We needed a clean, welcoming hotel with breakfast included. This hit all the marks for a reasonable price. The hotel is remodeling / doing some construction, but we weren't inconvenienced by any of it.

Great room professional service, but..............

Checking in was a breeze with a very professional person at the desk. The room was very nice and clean. I have no complaints except for the fact it was very expensive, way to expensive for Placerville CA to just get a few hours sleep. That has nothing to do with the service or the room but come on Placerville???????????

After this stay I will not return. I have stayed here many times, and each time it feels more like a struugle. I have to lug my baggage down the steps and up the steps. This time the hall was blocked and I had to carry my heavy bags back up the steps and across the pool area to the bottom floor to get to my room which was closer to the center of the building
