Stayed one night Hotel is clean and the room met expectations. Note that Ibis rooms are typically on the small side. Breakfast was included and the selection was good. The train station and botanical gardens are close but the historic colleges are a 20 to 30 minute walk.

This is a coveiently situated hotel in what feels like a newer developed area surrounding the main train station. There are plenty of food outlets and supermarkets on it's doorstep. The area feels very safe. The rooms are of the level you should expect for a 3* hotel. There are some facilities that are of a slightly higher standard and some which fall slightly below 3*. For example the toiletries provided are of a good quality. The hot drinks selection is too. The linen and pillows are of excellent quality and the bed is very comfortable. There is an ironing board & iron already in the room and a good quality hairdryer. The room is a decent size. The breakfast selection is excellent and replenished fast. The staff on the whole are professional and polite. I did however encounter one member of staff that was not so and as this happened to be the first I met at check-in. The room on check-in needed more attention to detail. There was a bulb not working in a main light. A kettle with water in it and quite scaled & an electrical outlet with the facia hanging off. I aldo find it unusual that no hand towels are provided. Only bath towels and bath mat. The towels are good.Maybe be aware Ibis that not everyone is comfortable wiping their face on the same towel as their body! There is no in room safe facility or fridge but I feel this is the normal for 3* premise particularly in the UK. Sadly my allocated character limit on here has been reached so I can't continue my review 😢

Perfect location for Cambridge station. No noise from station at all. However lots of noise from banging doors. Bed and shower really good but carpet in room really needs a good clean

Great location

Very nice hotel next to the railway station. About 25mins walk to the city centre. There’s a bus connection too, but as the weather was so lovely prefered to walk. Had a nice quiet room with comfortable bed. The only minus was the fact that tv didn’t work on Sunday morning. I can warmly recommend the hotel for your visit to Cambridge!
