We stayed at this property for 2 nights. The host’s communication was timely and efficient, we also appreciated the early check-in and the option to store our luggage after check-out. However, we encountered an unexpected issue. The property is spread over two levels, upon arrival, we naturally explored the space. There are three doors downstairs—two locked and one leading to the laundry room, which was unlocked. Assuming the washing machine was available for guest use, we did a load of laundry and left the property. Upon returning, we found our clothes had been removed from the washing machine and received a message from the host stating the laundry room was private and there was a £20 charge per load. This was surprising and disappointing. The laundry room should have been locked if it was private, and the charge was not mentioned anywhere. Additionally, the host entered our space without notifying us while we were out, which felt invasive. In the end, we left the money to settle the case, but the experience left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant stay. Overall, while the property and amenities were satisfactory, the unclear communication about the laundry facilities and unexpected charges were significant drawbacks. Future guests should be aware of these issues to avoid similar misunderstandings.

We really enjoyed being in the centre of town, at an easily walkable distance from all amenities, while tucked in a quiet location. Very well equipped for meals and for evening conversation.
