Apartment mit wunderbarer Terrasse

Zwei Wochen Urlaub in dem Apartment habe ich sehr genossen. Das Apartment ist wie beschreiben. Sehr gut ausgestattet, mit allem was im Urlaub benötigt, und sehr sauber. Der Kontakt war per WhatsApp immer ansprechbar. Größere Besucher behindern die Dachschrägen in Bad und in der Küche etwas. Dafür entschädigt die wunderschöne Terrasse. Groß, sehr privat, mit Sonnenschirm und Grill, und mit Meerblick und dem ganzen Tag Sonne. Es ist eine sehr ruhige Umgebung. Ein Wagen ist erforderlich. Dann ist Calheta aber dank guter Verkehrsanbindung ein zentraler Ausgangspunkt, um Madeira zu erkunden. Bei meinem nächste Madeira-Besuch kann ich hier hoffentlich wieder als Gast hier übernachten.

My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. There was fruit, loads of avocados, nice talks and of course the beautiful terrace with sun from 09:00 until dawn. The apartment was very clean and fully equipped. À bientôt!

Die ganze Ferien Wohnung sauber und ordentlich mit einem schönen Blick auf den Atlantik.

Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett, spricht ausschließlich Portugiesisch und Französisch, was sich allerdings durch WLAN und Internet ausgleichen lässt. Die Terrasse ist ausreichend groß, bietet einen Panoramablick auf Ozean und Landschaft und es gibt einen fest installierten Holzkohlegrill. Die Ferienwohnung ist ein Dachausbau, als großer Mensch stößt man sich leicht den Kopf. Für den Weg zur Sandstrandbucht in Caletha braucht man einen Mietwegen oder Mountainbike, die 350 Höhenmeter sind nicht ohne. Oberhalb des Dorfes beginnt der Levadas-Tunnel nach Rabaçial und zu den 25 Quellen, eine einfache 4 bis 6 Stunden dauernde Wanderung. Die nächsten Supermärkte gibt es in Caletha am Strand und östlich in Loreto. Im Dorf selber gibt es zwei kleine Läden und einen Schnellimbiss; eine kleine alte sowie eine große neue Kirche. Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig inmitten von Kleinstfeldern und ist allein über Fußwege auf den letzten Metern zu erreichen. Einzige gelegentliche Geräuscherzeuger sind der Sportunterricht in der nahen Grundschule, Wachhunde und sehr früh aufgeweckte Hähne. Gute Voraussetzungen für einen entspannten Wanderurlaub abseits von jeglichem Massentourismus. Wir waren die einzigen Touristen im Dorf!

Sehr entspannt, liebevolle Vermieterin

Die Wohnung liegt ruhig, umgeben von Landhäusern mit Gärten. Das "Highlight" ist der Balkon mit seinem wunderbaren Blick auf Umgebung, Gärten und Meer. Die Wohnung selbst ist nicht sehr hell, aber praktisch und auch mit allen erforderlichen Küchenutensilien eingerichtet und geeignet für ein Paar mit Platz zum Kochen und Essen im Inneren. Im Februar erwies sich die Elektroheizung zeitweise nötig. Musik (Radio) und Fernsehen sind beschränkt. Die Wohnung liegt ca. 450hm oberhalb Calheta, mit dem Auto von Calheta Beach in ca.7 Minuten zu erreichen. Bei Ankunft geleitet Maria den Gast von dort aus zu ihrem Haus. Ein Auto ist erforderlich (Parkplatz vorhanden), denn Einkaufs- und Essensmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Umgebung sind beschränkt. Von Haus aus ist eine Wanderung zur "Levada Nova" möglich.

Relaxing stay high above Calheta

The landlord, Maria Pita who lives in the same house is a very kind person. The apartment is well equipped for everything that 2-3 people could need and comes with a large outdoor terrace, including a BBQ. Private parking is available, having a car is highly recommended. Very quiet, good access to Paul do Serra and Calheta and the west of the island. Just a great apartment with a kind person who takes great care about it. Given the rural character up in the hills of Lombo do Dotour, there may be some tiny ants and lizards around. Reliable and good speed Internet connection.

Very pretty apartment with everything available what you need. Huge terrace with a wonderful sight. The location is ideal for trekking in the mountains and spending some time at the beach in Calheta (5 min by car). Very nice and helpful landlady, who speaks Spanish and French fluently and English quite well.

Madeira is also great at christmas

Very good equipped apartment, a nice view. We used busses to move around to enjoy slowlyness. We celebrated christmas here, the weather was nice and quite warm. Calheta was full of flowers. We had a nice breakfast at marias bar with good coffee and delicous empenadas. Maria helped us with all kind of information, she speaks good english.
