It is ideally located for touring the island, with easy access to the North and its fabulous landscapes via Ribeira Brava. Porto Moniz and its natural swimming pools in the East are only 35 minutes away. Big game fishing ,dolphin and whale watching from the Calheta Marina.
The terrace of the house offers a fabulous panoramic and unobstructed view of the ocean. A true paradise where you get a views of the ocean and mountains.
There are 2 (Madalena do Mar and Achada) of the more than 200 trails criss-crossing the island’s basalt rock masses, taking hikers into a rare natural world. Along these irrigation channels you will come across species of fauna and flora found hardly anywhere else in the world, in Madeira’s traditional Laurissilva Forest, which has been declared a World Natural Heritage Site.
Nearby you can find small markets, restaurants and bars were you can taste the famous Poncha of Madeira.
