Modern villa with swimming pool and large beautiful garden at 5 minutes from the sea

This modern villa is located in a quiet and green area. More specifically in Nadadouro, on the edge of the charming town of Caldas da Rainha and just 5 minutes from the lagoon of Obidos with the beautiful beach of Foz do Arelho.
Lisbon Airport is 65 km away and the property is easily accessible via the motorway.

The house has a nice large living room with open kitchen. In addition, there are 3 spacious bedrooms each with its own bathroom.
One bedroom is located on the ground floor and adjoins the front garden. The bathroom with bath is accessible through a hall.
On the 1st floor are the 2 other bedrooms located. The bedrooms have a bathroom with shower and a spacious terrace.
The living room is separated from the terrace by sliding windows.
A lovely terrace with built-in private swimming pool (10 mx 4 m), sunbeds, parasol and a lounge corner where you overlook the large, beautifully landscaped garden and green surroundings with eucalyptus trees that spread a wonderful scent.
There is also outdoor kitchen with built-in barbecue provided, where you can prepare the tastiest dishes.
In the back of the garden there is a playground where the children can play while you sit between the fruit trees.
And in the evening you can enjoy a beautiful sunset on one of the terraces.
The house also has a garage and is equipped with the necessary comforts such as a washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, Nespresso coffee machine, oven, microwave, hair dryer, high chair and baby cot (on request). Also, the windows are equipped with electric shutters so that the heat remains outside, making the bedrooms at night nice and cool and dark to be able to sleep.
You will be welcomed by a Dutch speaking hostess. If desired, you can also book a babsit with her, she also transports to and from Lisbon airport (prices can be requested from us).

The lagoon of Obidos with the beach of Foz do Arelho is one of the most beautiful beaches in Portugal.
The gigantic, beautiful beach has something for everyone ... In the lagoon the water is calm and you can walk up to 10 meters into the water and the water only reaches your knees. Therefore it is perfect for small children, family picnics, kayaking, kite boarding, paddle boarding etc. and on the sea side you have the beautiful beaches with rough sea, a great place for surfers.
The beach has a blue flag that testifies to the good quality of the water.
The nice thing about this place is that there is no mass tourism here. No hotels along the coastline, just a promenade with nice beach bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal or a drink at very favorable prices! The locals are very friendly and speak good English and there is plenty of parking right on the beach so you do not have to drag far with all your beach stuff.
In short, this place has something for everyone and is a perfect way to spend the day!
Beautiful walking and cycling routes have also been laid out on the coastline. Definitely worth the effort to agree. You have a beautiful view of the Atlantic and green nature.

The town of Caldas da Rainha (3 km) is known for its thermal baths located in the city park. The city park has a pond where you can sail with a boat between the black swans. There are also nice shops and nice restaurants. You can also stroll around the market every morning, full of stalls with fresh fruit and vegetables and colorful parasols.

The house is the perfect base for exploring the area.
More beach with cozy restaurants and bars can be found in the bay of São Martinho do Porto (11 km) and at Nazaré (30 km) where you can take a cable lift to the higher Sitio.
Nazaré and Peniche are famous surfing locations with, in some periods of the year, waves of up to 30m high!
Also the beach of Santa Cruz (Torres Vedras) is definitely worth it, also nice is beach bar NOA, enjoy a drink while a DJ plays nice music.

Of course Lisbon should not be missing on your to see list, also the historic village of Obidos (10 km), Baleal (accessible by ferry), Lourinha with its dinosaur park, Budha Eden garden in Bombarral the golf course in Praya del rey ( crowned the world's most beautiful golf course), Sintra: a town with special palaces, ancient forts and beautiful gardens, the mundane Cascais and Estoril and much much more!

The climate on the Costa de Prata is a healthy, mild climate with plenty of sunshine during the winter months. In the summer the temperatures are around 30 degrees and it cools down to about 15 degrees at night. In winter, the temperature rarely drops below 15 degrees and 10 degrees at night.

When designing the house and the outdoor space we found it important that there is a cozy warm homey atmosphere, where everyone feels at home. Not just a holiday home, but a "home" under the sun.
