Great and helpful staff that do their best to make sure my stay was good. Hotel itself is good and clean but building and the whole downtown of Cairo is old so don’t expect 5star hotel facilities in that part of towns. Overall was great value and happy to stay there

I stay in hotels at least 100 days a year. I know quickly if a hotel is one I will return to. This is one and I have returned to it for a second Cairo trip this year. The staff is fantastic and does not pressure you to take any tours with them. Everything is great. The area is safe and very close to Midan Talaat Harb but not on it (thankfully). It is quiet, there is an easy walk from the street.

Amazing staff - could not be nicer and more helpful. They are legit helpful - not the 'buy a tour from me' kind of helpful you often find. Room spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, bathroom modern. Universal plugs built in that accept American plugs (and I assume European). No stairs to the elevator - flat path from the street and elevator takes you directly to the reception. Breakfast upstairs or can be brought to your room. Great coffee. Great location right downtown. TV has a ton of channels. Refrigerator in room. Air conditioning and heating. Plenty of closet and drawer space. Laundry available and they always get mine back the same day. Airport pickup and drop off available for a reasonable extra charge. I stayed for 3 weeks this summer, and for a 5 days last week. I'll be back.

The room was bug (cockroaches) and rodent(mice/rat) infested. Dilapidated Elevator had broken cement chunks at the front metal doors. No fire escape or smoke alarm detectors to warn of potential fire hazard. The photos in the advertisement are not correct and misleading as the photo in this advertisement. There are no glass shops at the bottom and the building itself on the entryway is dilapidated and dangerous with the elevator entryway. Expedia has failed to warn or inform potential clients/customers the the actual state of the Pharoah's Palace Hotel.

Find another hotel in a nicer area!

This “hotel” is on the fourth floor in some run down old building in an alley way in a sketchy, crowded, dirty area of Cairo. The room was not clean. They still use keys, not key cards. The elevator doors were missing. The refrigerator was covered in black mold. The TV did not work. The sheets were not clean. The shower and bathroom are combined with wooden doors which are moldy from being constantly wet and the drain was super slow so the bathroom flooded. They said they served breakfast, but I wouldn’t even trust the bottled water from them. The staff was friendly, but I still didn’t trust leaving anything valuable in the room. They were constantly walking by.

This was my first time coming to Cairo and I enjoyed the stay. I am someone who comes from the uk so at first it was a transition but it became better as we got used to it. The staff are extremely friendly and super nice. They make the stay quite welcoming and accommodate to your needs. This is a great hotel for someone who’s looking for a friendly budget one. The entrance it’s self is slightly hidden away which isn’t too bad and looks slightly old but as you go to the main floor which they own and run it looks nice and clean. The area is close to a lot of shops and restaurants too. The housekeeping are also very nice and special mention to Ali and Ahmad who made our stay feel welcomed. They were quite compromising and we loved that about them. Would definitely recommend!! Coming back here soon!

Great experience staying in this hotel at the begging of this month for 2 weeks, excellent location very near and walking to shopping area and local restaurants, good and very clean hotel and the staff’s will greet you with warm and friendly attitude and they will do everything you need to make sure that you have a fantastic stay. The hotel is well situated but thats all it has to offer. Upon arrival you will notice the inner elevator doors are missing so beware of your first use (also no elevator certificate visable). Our room was to have a city view but did not even have one window to the outside, only a very small opening in shower into dark hallway. The mattresses were very well used and i woke my wife up every time i moved as the springs made loud noises. The shower drain was plugged so the bathroom floor flooded while in use. Also the bathroom glass door did not offer much privacy and made a horrible cracking noise when moved...which also could wake the neighbors. The other thing to note is breakfast is served a bit late for tourists. We stayed 2 nights and were served at 9:15 first morning and 9:40 the next

The location is very central and close to downtown, plenty of stores and restaurants in the area. The staff are very polite and helpful. Being very central, if your window is on street, it's very noisy with the car horns and people, pretty much 24/7! The bathrooms have no toiletries. The rooftop cafe \ restaurant can be much better.
