While visiting Giza & Cairo, I stayed at the Guardian Guest House for 5 days. Upon arrival, the employees were very welcoming and nice but there was no WiFi. I had no way of communicating with my family and friends to let them know I made it safely. Throughout my time here, the WiFi worked off and on but never in my room. I asked about the WiFi almost every day and always gotten reasons like “oh we’ve been having trouble with it all day”, “we will call someone to fix it”, etc. The issues concerning the WiFi were never resolved. WiFi is the #1 thing needed for travelers going abroad. This is our only way of communicating with family and family back home. As far as the room, it was simply was “ok” (nothing fancy), the workers were great, but the issues with the WiFi overshadowed my experience here and that’s why I cannot rate the Guardian Guest House any higher than I did.

Thank you so much for choosing Guardian Guest House, we really appreciate it. We apologize for the internet issues you experienced, but our entire area were affected by a major disturbance in one of the main lines.

I usually will not fill out surveys unless they pay me, but I have never have a more down to earth and enjoyable experience than my stay at the Guardian Guest House. They were very nice to me and their breakfast was great and I would definitively go back there again.

It was a great place and I would recommend to anyone. The only reason I did not give it a top rating was the bad Internet. Very nice people working there. My room window literally looked at the Sphinx. Giza is a very poor city so the city was not clean and lots of kids begging for money. Again, I would recommend Giza and this hotel to people attending.

Thank you for choosing Guardian Guest House, it was our pleasure and honor to serve you. We are very pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and we look forward to serving you again soon. The internet issue was due to a major problem with the internet supplier in our entire area, sorry, we couldn't do anything about.

We had a most amazing time at this Hotel!

Pros: Location next to the Pyramids and the wonderful staff.
Cons: Nothing that we could think of from our stay.
Location: This hotel is directly at the Giza Plateau and the Sphinx. Local township flavor with camel and hose buggy rides directly in front of the hotel.
The Guardian Guest House staff is a wonderful family. The family not only manage and run a great boutique hotel just a few hundred meters from the Giza plateau Pyramids but their hospitality was boundless. The staff can also arrange all the tours throughout Egypt that you may want to see. Mohammed set up our tour package to Saqqara, Giza Plateau, the Sphinx, Egyptian Museum, Luxor and more and all went as planned flawlessly. We had a very comfortable room with a pyramid view that was unparalleled. A bonus was that the nightly light show of the pyramids could be seen free of charge directly from the hotel rooftop. Our experience overall was exceptional. We look forward to traveling back to Giza and the guardian Guest House Hotel in 2018 when the new Cairo Egyptian Museum opens to the public. Great stay at a great hotel away from the usual high rise chain hotels.

Wonderful

It was a wonderful trip and place to stay. If you want to get a taste of the real egypt and not a 5 star hotel you can stay at in any city then come here. The view of the pyramids is the best.

pyramids of giza a once in a lifetime experience

Pros: the location close to the giza pyramids, the staff was helpful.
Cons: everything was what was advertised.
Location: aside from being close to the pyramids of giza, the restaurants were good, the location is filled with merchants ready to sell their wares.
a once in a lifetime experience, the hotel staff was helpful.
