Perfect stay

We had such a wonderful time. The place was clean and spacious, and the communication with the host was easy and quick. Easy check-in, nice location, just outside of the busyness and traffic of the city, but close enough to everything in GR!

Very Clean

Very clean and large, well-stocked with lots of equipment so it was very comfortable. Handicap-accessible. Be aware there is a second floor that other people stay in, but access to both units is thru a common foyer and there is a security door into the first-floor unit.

Birthday trip

The property was very clean, and well stocked with a lot of things you may need. Although something that i really think should have been mentioned in the listing is that it seems people live upstairs. Not knowing this beforehand was shocking, and made the stay a little bit uncomfortable, even though we didnt come into contact with them. Also there are insturction signs for every little thing in the house, and that made the place a little less welcoming.

Delightful

We were surprised how well stocked the kitchen was with pots and pans. We had a wonderful time. Our teen girls youth group enjoyed cooking, watching princess bride, playing games, and telling stories. We all wanted to stay longer! Thank you Barn Swallow for a delightful stay.

Without a doubt this is one of my favorite places I’ve stayed. Everything was very clean, clearly labeled, simple instructions to follow, the CUTEST decorations, and stocked with literally anything that you might possibly need. The beds were comfy, the floors were heated so cold feet in the winter time was not a problem, there were so many little touches that were well thought out and just gave ease and comfort on every level. The views of the property were beautiful. I hope to stay here again in the summertime and enjoy the sun room more and possibly bring my dog. You know how generally there is always something you would improve at a place you pay to stay? Just an adjustment you would’ve made or a preference you would’ve had? This place was perfect. I wouldn’t change anything about it, I wanted nothing more, everything was provided that I could possibly need and the overall vibes and decor were my favorite thing. The hosts Valerie and Diane were a pleasure to communicate with and so sweet. I can’t thank them enough for this wonderful stay!

Best place for a girls' getaway!

This is a very roomy place that we love to stay at! Lots of room and the kitchen has everything we need. Location is perfect and the hostess is very attentive. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay for a wedding weekend

Our son got married at Railside and this place was perfect for our stay. So close to the venue and we enjoyed a great dinner one night in downtown Byron Center. Also walked the Kent Trail a few times which was beautiful! Close to groceries, gas etc. Property was beautiful, spacious and clean. Groomsman stopped by on their way to the venue and enjoyed a nice lunch. We got subs from the catering menu at Subway in town. They were so nice and helpful and it was really good! Excellent stay. Would highly recommend!

The kitchen had everything you could want to make a large family meal! French toast and bacon for 8 was a lot of food. This is a large home with bedrooms for all of us. 3 generations of us attending a local wedding that was 7 minutes away was perfect. All on one floor was a treat. I would book this again should an event come up.

Visiting family in Grand Rapids

We had a wonderful stay. The place was perfect for visiting with family especially if they require it to be handicapped accessible. The back yard and porch were fantastic We saw a bald eagle, hawks, blue birds, herons, deer, and the neighbor’s cows. It was peaceful and quiet and yet only five minutes from the shopping area. Lovely place.

What a great place to stay! Everything was what was online. One of the best places we've stayed. We're from the state of Wyoming, and the back reminded us of home. So peaceful. The hosts were great! It was bitter sweet to leave. We had 7 people with us, and there was plenty of room. I would recommend this location for your next stay!

What a delightful stay. Out of the hustle bustle but so close to everything. No detail was missed. Fully stocked, clean, quiet and spacious. Great value for the space. Will definitely go back if we are in that area. Friendly host too!!

Property and home is beautiful and very relaxing. The extra ammenities were an amazing feature. The grounds are very peaceful. The home was a perfect place to stay for the weekend of our daughters wedding. All the bridesmaids stayed with us and enjoyed getting ready here together.

Great place!

This place was such a blessing to us! We stayed with our entire family and elderly father while our mother was in the hospital for surgery. This home provided us with a comfortable place to call home for the week. Every detail was amazing, the handicap accessibility was much needed, and the decor was bright and cheery! There is so much room that it never felt crowded and our teenager was able to have much needed space for quiet downtime. Wonderful property owners too!

Huge/Nice place but they had quiet time hours?

We didnt realize that owners were living on the 2nd and 3rd floor. Its not a big deal until we seen a note on the wall that quiet time is between 10pm and 8am. There was nothing in the listing about that. Overall we try to keep it down we did not have any issues during out stay. Its a great place for alot of people. The place is huge!

Mom's Weekend Out

Had a great time. The place was immaculate and more than we expected. Will forewarn that someone is upstairs as well. There are quiet hours. We tried our best to keep it down. Would definitely book this one again!!
