Had a good experience with my stay here. This is a beautiful getaway with easy access to the beach, light house and the Cape Hatteras and easy access to the Hatteras ferry terminal that goes to Ocracoke Island

Solid stay for the Price

This motel was as expected. It is no frills and a decent place for a night or so. It is older and shows the wear and tear of being a motel on the outer banks. It served us well for our one night stay.

Although this hotel is right on 12, it was very quiet. Pool was perfect. Location was a 2 minute walk to the beach and 5 to the National Park (Hattaras Lighthouse). Great place for the money.

Clean and safe! excluding some tile seam blackness. Nice lines and pillows. I didn't like they have closed the center staircase off, lugging luggage forever and a fire hazard. I asked for 1st floor - medical issues, nope - but was vacant rooms the 3 nights I was there. Little coffee maker. Would stay again but only a night.

We’ve stayed here every time we visit, which is now about 6 times. Never have had a single complaint or major issue. If you get a first floor hotel room it tends to be a bit musty from previous flooding but nothing to switch rooms over. A/C unit works great, has a fridge and microwave, comfortable beds, nice little bathroom, and if you go in peak season Food Lion 8 minutes up the road is 24/7. Makes for a very fun and affordable trip to the best place in all of North Carolina. 24/7 check in saves your behind when you realize how long the drive is to Hatteras Island.

We needed a one night stay in the area while waiting for our rental property and I chose this property because of its proximity and other reviews. It was Labor Day weekend, so I expected prices would be higher than normal. The beds were comfortable and the shower water temperature was good. Clean towels and sheets, but the rooms were a bit shabby and in need of some attention. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. We received a call letting us know the room was ready well before regular check in time. So overall, a good choice. Options are limited in this area as it is what I refer to as “bohemian” in a good way. We love Avon and Buxton on Hatteras Island. It’s unpretentious and relaxing.

Our first time staying here. The kiosk check in was easy fast and convenient. Room is spacious and nice and has everything we need. Offering beach towels for guest use is very nice. Looking forward to using the pool and walking to the beach tomorrow am.

Our room was so musty that we had to leave our door open for hours to try and get the smell out. At first I thought I could not stand the smell but opening the door helped a little. Probably would not stay there again. Also the people in the room next to us were having a big fight yelling and swearing. It was scary.

In the 25 plus years I have been staying in OBX this place has had the most comfortable beds EVER! And I have been in motels, hotels, rental houses through companies as well as Vrbo and such. Walkable to the beach and restaurants were nice as well.
