Will return to HTL Urbano 451 Tucuman Buenos Aires

The staff at the hotel were absolutely perfect. They did everything they could to make sure that we got around safely that we knew where everything was that we had all the amenities that we needed. They really were so good to us! The space was perfect for two adults with a refrigerator and good closet space and a safe. The neighborhood is also perfect with two blocks from terrific shopping. It is a very safe area (especially for two solo women travelers) One block from amazing restaurants bus transportation is everywhere it’s about a 10 minute walk to the main train station 10 minute walk to the main boat dock five minute walk to the subway station and there’s a bus stop right next-door. Also, there’s a supermarket right next-door and some of the best cheapest empanadas we’ve ever had in our life down the block.

Friendly Hotel in BA

Hotel was situated near Calle Florida, and within easy walking distance of bus and Subte transportation options, also close to Terminal Madero. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and was able to communicate with me in English despite my poor Spanish skills. My room was decent, and functional for my needs. The closet seemed a bit small - the closet wasn't even wide enough for the clothe hangers, which I found a bit odd. The shower worked, but it was nearly impossible to keep all the water inside, as the glass partition swung in and out. Wifi is probably my biggest challenge - it worked well for email and YouTube, but I had stability issues when trying to hop on a Zoom call. When I checked into the hotel the previous evening, the wifi was actually down, so this hotel may not be for you if you need stable wifi (it was fast when it worked though). I didn't try the breakfast, so I couldn't comment on that. Having said that, very good dining options within walking distance, and Puerto Madero also within easy walking distance.

Take your items with you

Money missing from our room safe box, we talked to the management during our stays (3 times, different dates in November) they were addressing the issue to work with the insurance and recover our money while in the country, I have kept texting the manager and now he is ignoring me. They did gave us a 3 night courtesy but that is not even half of what we were robed in their hotel. Also I had to request to time a change of room because it was either small or the beds were uncomfortable which they kindly did.

Location is excellent, within walking distance to most of tourist areas, we walked to most places. Evening shift staff member was very helpful. Breakfast was more than adequate.

Good value hotel, good breakfast with fresh fruit for about $5 us. 10 min walk to Buquebus, ferry to Uruguay, that's why we booked it. $25 approx for taxi from airport one way. Staff at front desk struggle with basic English, but there's always Google translate on your cell :)

This is a great property in a great location. The hotel is well taken care of and just what I needed as a solo traveler. Plenty of room and the bathroom was good sized, too. The only issue I had was that I was told at check-in that my package included breakfast and even though I questioned it, I was assured it was in fact included. Then I was charged for eating breakfast after the fact. When I brought it up to the staff, he basically laughed and didn't seem to care. Other than that, I was very happy with the hotel and the staff overall was very helpful. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be in a great location within walking distance to all the good sites!
