Visited here with my husband, 2 teens, and my adult daughter. The only hiccup we had getting there was the road is on a turn, its gravel, and declines, so we completely missed it. If you haven’t driven a lot of gravel (like my husband), the side road is a little stressful. I’ve driven a few in the mountains, and I did not find it overly challenging. We drive a Honda odyssey and was able to turn the van around in the driveway with little issue.
The kitchen is well stocked. We cooked almost every meal at the cabin and had no issues. The location is great if you’re looking for a secluded mountain vibe but don’t want to do a scary mountain trek to get there. It’s close enough to civilization and activities so that you don’t feel like the entire trip is driving. But if you’re looking for a trip where you do nothing, this cabin is great. My kids opted to spend half the trip at the cabin. There’s an area close by where locals swim in the lake and has a great view.
I can’t sell the relaxing vibe enough. My husband and I pulled out our air mattress and took a nap on the patio one afternoon. The area is so peacefu, and the biggest thing that broke the nature vibes was my teens (kids and their music…). You definitely get a good bang for your buck here.
