The Butchers Wife was a great starting point for our trip. Excellent location, great service and the room was so good. Big king sized bed, oversized shower, great communal area, left luggage space all included. Thanks Janni for a great stay.

Excellent little hotel

Lovely cute little bijou hotel. Tucked away from noise of the town but only 2 minutes to the main square. Could do with parking or advice to book parking in advance in extremely busy times. Breakfast was wow!!

The location and superb breakfast made our stay extra special. We were in one of the suites which was very spacious and clean. The larger sign outside says ‘The Butcher’s Wife’ NOT ‘B&B Chester’, so look out for that! B&B Chester is marked on the door bell, took a few minutes to spot once we got to the square. Both hosts we met at breakfast were very friendly and helpful. We highly recommend a stay

Nette accommodatie, schoon, ruim en modern ingericht. Ligging is top. Parkeren kan vlakbij in ondergrondse parking voor slechts €15 per dag. Bij binnenkomst hing er helaas een rioollucht in onze suite. Op het pleintje voor de B&B hangen smiddags groepjes waarbij hun geluiden kunnen rondgalmen tussen de gebouwen.

Although the property and amenities were excellent, I was very confused about the check-in instructions that were sent by Expedia on behalf of Chester B&B. The email directed me to go to another B&B. We went to Chester and found the envelope with my name and room number waiting for us as originally expected. We had selected Chester because of its proximity to Market Square. We definitely would stay here again!

Perfect location to the square, 5 minute walk to the restaurants. perfect hosts, clean and comfortable. AMAZING breakfasts. would stay again without question. Stairs are tight and plentiful so if mobility is an issue, might have to consider elsewhere, however no issues for us.

Amazing stay highly recommend this place

Amazing stay overall. The room was spacious, clean and quiet. The house is located just off one of the main streets in Bruges and is about 5 minutes away from the main market. Breakfast was definitely a highlight, with a great selection of cheese, ham, pastries and you can order your customized egg.
