Amazing location if you are looking for the best of West Virginia’s outdoors! We had two graduating WVU this weekend and the grandparents and some extended family wanted to stay together to celebrate their achievements. We looked around for something a little quieter than Morgantown and might also offer the opportunity to visit Cooper’s Rock. It is one of our favorite stops when we come to town. Unfortunately the bridge was under repair so no luck getting them out on the rock. However just down the road and in the preserve this house is in, we learned of Wonder Falls! An amazing waterfall about 18-20 feet high. We were lucky enough to catch a few kayakers launching the falls! After watching we walked upstream a bit and found an amazing bed rock area to explore with several small spots of gentle rolling water and ponds. Tons of wildlife. Fish, frogs, a few small snakes. It was incredible. The house was also configured perfectly for our group. The hot tub was immaculate on arrival and a welcome addition after our 6 hour drive. The grill was clean and the outdoor seating very comfortable for 10. Plenty of space on the island for organizing food and hanging out. The two Roku tv’s were perfect for our YouTubetv to watch the Phillies sweep the Pirates! ;) I also enjoyed showing my kids there were still some video games I could beat them at! Ms Pac-Man and Galaga were popular for high score competitions. Thank you for sharing this incredible home. We will return!
