From one Brooklyn to another

I drive from my home in Brooklyn, NY to my home in Northern Michigan a few times a year. Usually i stay with my cousin near Lansing but this time i decided to spend the night in Brooklyn, MI. What a treat it was! The Super 8 staff was friendly and accomodating and made me feel at home during my short stay. Loved the hotel, loved the town. Ill be back for sure!

Had a little trouble with the tv. Stayed 2 nights and the room was great. Housekeeping changed out our towels but didn't make the bed. Just a bit surprised at that. The breakfast was limited but fine for us and the area was clean. Front desk people were nice.

It's just outdated in every way. The staff was very nice, but the property itself is just okay. Dated. I wouldn't stay here if you're looking for a nice place. Also the breakfast was mediocre. It you're hoping for the standard Belgian waffle, you're out of luck.

I always stay here when I visit family in town. Always clean, cozy, reasonable price. I used Guest Laundry, machines worked great, new washers. Like home away from home

Hometown facilities as we live in another state

It is like visiting friends and neighbors when we come HOME to Brooklyn. Close to both Adrian and Jackson, and good to see the preservation of this quaint village , yet keep up with the growth that has happened in the last 50 years !!!

Surprisingly nice!

This small hotel was surprisingly nice. It appears to be quite new and everything was in good condition. The front desk staff was very friendly, even scraping ice off the windows of a guest's car for her when she asked to borrow an ice scraper. The continental breakfast wasn't anything special, but it was included in the cost of the room and was a welcomed amenity. My only complaint was that when I checked in my room at 10:00 pm it was freezing cold. The heater in the room did work, but by the time it warmed up, we were already sleeping and then got too hot.

Clean an basic hotel in the Irish Hld area .

Great basic hotel for a brief stay. Breakfast was carb heavy but had plenty if choices to keep all happy. Bring your own pillow if you like firm pillows. These were very soft.

You get what you pay for

It's the only hotel in town so I expect they don't have the highest of standards to live up to and honestly, they don't. The staff is very nice but the rooms are more than reminicent of the basic cheap, side of the highway motel.

Surprisingly spacious, newly renovated

The Super 8 hotel in Brooklyn, Michigan, was surprisingly spacious. For $, we upgraded from two full-sized beds to two queen beds; our room was still not at all crowded. All the furnishings were well kept -- either new, or relatively new, and not showing any signs of wear. The mattresses were nice, pillows typical of a budget hotel (which means, not great, but not awful). The bathroom was very nice, and looked very newly renovated. The shower head was one of the nicest I've seen, believe it or not. The outside of the building looks very nice, and the lobby doesn't disappoint. It's small, but nicely appointed, including some lounge furniture with a television you can watch. The breakfast nook also is small -- it could seat maybe 12 -- but juice and coffee are available 24/7. The breakfast included juice, two choices of cereal, milk, and a small selection of pastries and donuts. I did not see any fruit or yogurt, so the breakfast selection is not great. We saw many guests walking dogs the next morning, and we had no clue there were dogs on the property, which is good. There were signs prominently posted in the hallways asking guests to respect the privacy of others, and to keep the noise down, and indeed, it was a very quiet stay. In all, particularly given that this hotel is pretty much the only game in town -- or the surrounding towns -- this is a nice place.
