We arrived well after 7pm after a day of traveling from Rhode Isand. There were electrical outages in more than half the room- the whole bed headboard side of the room. I needed multiple outlets for medical equipment which I explained. Maintenance brought me one very old dirty 100 ft extension cord. I was promised at around 8 pm it would be fixed next day or I could move rooms. I did not want to move rooms then and trusted it would be fixed. When we returned early evening (7pm-8pm) and found the same circumstances I called the front desk. The girl was new- she had no idea what to do but promised to leave a note on our account. That was September 27-29. Today is 11/30/2025 and I have yet heard a word from this hotel. I have had similar issues with Wyndham in the past and refuse to use them again.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights with our dog to visit Bar Harbor. The staff were all super friendly - really couldn’t have been nicer. The reason for my low review is because we found a live bedbug on our second night. I captured it and took it to the front desk and Sam took it very seriously, acted immediately, and moved us to a different room at the opposite end of the hotel, after she personally inspected the new room to ensure it was clean. They also refunded our stay. This can understandably happen after a busy season with so many travelers but this bug was full grown and just chilling on my pillow, telling me their pest control policy may not be up to par. We would have left and found another hotel but it was 10:30pm and we were traveling with our dog. We inspected the new room and didn’t find any evidence of bugs. The room was clean and comfortable.

Our experience of this property was terrible; the room was very tired and looked nothing like the images during booking, bed and sofa were covered with pet hair, and the ancient heater / air conditioner was so loud as to make conversation difficult, let alone trying to sleep. Despite having a kitchenette there was no extractor fan and the windows didn't open, which was perhaps a blessing since refrigerated trucks park right outside with the engines running all night. We got the impression that most of the staff work hard to make the best of a very old property, but overall I'd have been disappointed had we paid $80 per night, not almost $400. Won't be rushing back.

the Kitchen in the room was well stocked with dishes and nicer glass bowls with lids than I have at home! This made cooking and eating dinner in the room very convenient and doable. rooms were pretty sound proof. Very happy with this reasonable priced hotel near Acadia.
