W e loved everything about our stay at this property. The location on the river was perfect for us. The kids enjoyed fishing kayaking and exploring with the balance of having our own pool to lounge in. We had 2 families and the two king masters worked out great. We loved the area being a little bit removed from the hustle and bustle of town while still being close enough to enjoy the restaurants etc. we highly recommend and will be back for sure!

We had the best time here. The heated pool was perfect and getting to hear the water running down the river made it so relaxing. The house was super clean, beds comfortable, and Tina was the most helpful host! Can't wait to come back!

Great host and great place, it's very good for 9-10 people.Bathrooms, beds and bedrooms are spacious. They have shuffleboard which was fun to play.Very open concept space. Would love to go back.

This cabin was heaven. The view out the back, the heated pool, hot tub, 3 king size beds and adjoining bathrooms. They even have a Blackstone to cook on outside! We stayed for Christmas and they had a Christmas tree inside. The fireplace is push button. Everything was immaculate. Tina responds to any inquiry super fast.We needed a place to unplug and recharge and this did the trick. Highly recommend.

Family Fun

We had such a great time! The pool was perfect. The hot tub was relaxing. We used the kayak quite a bit! There were 7 adults and 5 kids and we had plenty of space for us all. Such a great area! I do wish there was more of a clearing to walk down to the river but there’s a rock beach area a couple of houses down that we checked out and it was very cool. Will definitely come back!

Family Vacation

My sister’s family and ours (9 total) thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rolling on the River. The accommodations were as described. Tina was quick to respond to any questions and even made a trip over to follow up on a concern. Due to the attention we received, we definitely will be returning to one of her cabins! The pool and hot tub were fantastic. Unfortunately, the area had recently received a lot of rain so the rain access was limited to us during our stay but the area is gorgeous and offers many other activities to entertain four teenagers and adults. The kitchen area is a little tight with two or more people making meals but that’s to allow the sitting area(s) with spacious accommodations. Overall, 5 stars!

Perfect family getaway

We had a great stay - location on the river was and ideal setting, kitchen is well stocked, rooms are large and beds comfortable. The house is well decorated and inviting. The pool was the draw for us, and it was a great addition to our stay. Check In/Check Out were easy. Overall exactly what we were looking for. Suggested changes: additional kayak so you have a buddy on the river, lounge/sofa seating on the second floor deck to enjoy the view and relax in the evenings, and the decks washed off between renters. Otherwise a great house and weekend that checked all the boxes!

Relaxing week in the Pines

We loved our stay at this cabin. It had everything from the heated pool and hot tub to the scenic views of the Glover river. We enjoyed visiting Hochatown (within a 20 min drive) and spending some days at the cabin. The back patio has a perfect view of the river, especially the upper deck. Our only wish was that they had more comfortable seating available on the top deck. Everything was fantastic! Will definitely be booking again!

Cute cabin by the river

Loved the backyard view. This home is a bit further from town than we usually like but it was peaceful. There’s a line of homes all backing to the river with plenty of space for the kids to run around. The house was well stocked. The kids loved the arcade video games upstairs. We had a great time and will definitely come back! Also we accidentally left behind a toiletry bag in one of the bathrooms and the host graciously mailed it back to us.

Everything was perfect. The beds were very comfortable, the house was clean, the host and housekeeping were responsive, and the house was adequately stocked. The view of the river is beautiful. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely return!

Girls Weekend Trip

This is a beautiful house and property. That being said, it needs some attention and care. There was dust on the plates and place settings that were used to stage the dining room table. Upstairs toilet has issues. It smells. Hand mixer doesn’t work. Can opener messed up. Tv remote missing. Bd upstairs fan remote missing battery. Downstairs fan remotes don’t have any speed except high. Multiple lights out. Freezer not making ice. Freezer not freezing well. The grass was so high between the fire pit and the river that we couldn't access or see the river. Host sent someone to clear a path? A man and woman showed up with screeching tires and kicked up gravel. The man was cussing the whole time they were clearing a path. When they finished we could hear the man say 'there's your path to nowhere'. nowhere'.path. The grass near th

Riverfront “luxury” cabin

Fairly new cabin but not really luxury. There are no bathtubs let alone soaker tubs just showers. Surface areas were clean but needed deep cleaning especially the decks and out door furniture. The river was very low not there fault of course but it would have been nice to know because this was planned as a float trip. The worst was the water access from the cabin. It was treacherous at best did not look like it had been cleared properly in a while. The back yard was a slope of sliding rocks down to the fire pit. It has the potential to be a very nice getaway with some serious landscaping and user friendly pathways that aren’t dangerous.

Annual Trip

We are all crazy busy throughout the year but make time for one long weekend trip as three couples away from work and kids. This year we wanted to go somewhere new and not too far away and this was the perfect spot! The house was so great and could have held the kids if we decided to come back with full families.

Lovely family getaway

We stayed over 4th of July and had an absolute blast. The river access and kayak made for such relaxing fun. The adults hung out on the deck while the kids explored the river and caught frogs and tadpoles. It was a little off the beaten path and yet still close enough to visit the lake and some of the chaos of Hochatown. We enjoyed being a part from that most of the time. Tina was very accommodating and we will be back for sure. Highly recommend.

Broken Bow family stay

The property was nice, however, there were some issues. The outdoor furniture had wasp nests underneath and my son was stung while trying to enjoy a fire and s’mores. We had to vacate that area and weren’t able to sit by the fire again. The walk down to the river is also very long, steep and rocky. My parents had issues walking down the slope from the back patio to the fire pit. We had to assist them as it is very steep. Pulling kayaks down to the river was a task, and not worth the trouble. The river isn’t deep enough to kayak freely. We had to drag our kayaks over rocks most of the time. We also saw numerous water moccasins and weren’t able to swim in the river. The grass out front and back was extremely growed up. My small pets didn’t like going out there to potty because the grass and weeds were too tall. The ice maker on the fridge did not work, so we had to purchase our own ice for our stay. The lock on the front door gave us some problems, and the door has a big gap in it when closed. It didn’t close tightly, and we were afraid to leave anything of value at the property while we weren’t there. We lost power for a few hours due to a storm, which was inconvenient (this was no fault of anyone’s, just be cautious if a storm is rolling in). If the floor is dirty, I would recommend sweeping before you leave. Part of my deposit was withheld because of pet hair on the floor. I would have swept if I had known I needed to. I feel the property was over priced.
