Room was ok. Disappointed in the fact the restaurant was closing at 8pm...nothing was mentioned when we booked and we travelled 4 hours didnt eat as we thought we would eat in the restuarant. But all that was on offer on boxing day was a 3 course meal which consists of Christmas dinner Luckily the Hooden Horse was open and it was very accomadating so we had food and drinks there.

The room is not designed for a wheelchair user. The bathroom was not clean The was a pungent smell in the room that kept you awake all night Having a wet room is one thing, have a room for a wheelchair user is another a) a plank of 4- 2 wood as a threshold is a wheel chair users nightmare d) clothes rail that is to high for a person in a wheelchair to reach c) a shower fixture to high to reach One tea bag and one sachets of sugar, for two people on a two night stay is very poor. No room service, No draws to put clothes in Last but not least, the traffic noise is constant all night as the room is very so close to the road.

Friendly staff. Our room was disappointing due to the chronic noise from the ventilation going on and off every few seconds, which meant we had little sleep! The Canterbury Belle bar looked very bright and appealing, but the rooms are dark, with poor lighting. We won’t be returning!

The room was clean but smelt very strongly of bleach that seemed to be covering a damp smell, otherwise the room was exactly what we needed. The parking was good, the surrounding shops are easily accessible. The real star of this stay was the attached pub, great service, food and reasonably priced.
